12 fl. oz. bottle bottled on 05/29/2014. The color is copper amber with a modest white fizzy head that diminishes fast but leaves light lacing. Good clarity. Aroma of hops including citrus, floral, and earth. Pale malts can be found in the background but the hops are the main course. Medium body. Smooth. Like the nose the floral, citrus, and earthy hops really emerge in the flavor. Brief touch of malts but then hops all the way.

Pours a light yellow with a soft white head. Has an aroma of citrus and hops. Flavor is similar, with the citrus coming off as sweet. There is plenty of bitterness, and an amazingly smooth mouthfeel. A delicious DIPA, especially on tap.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Citrus, floral notes, and some pine on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice malt backbone. Pretty balanced for an imperial IPA.

Transfer from BA review on 3-24-12 - Poured from bottle into tulip shaped glass Appearance – It has a nice slightly hazy golden-orange color with a lighter white head formed upon serving. The head faded fast, but left some nice lacing and a very persistent film on the top of the beer. Smell – The smell is a nice mix of citrus hop aromas of grapefruit and lemon, piney hop aromas as well as a bit of sweeter aromas as well. Quite nice. Taste – A bitter citrus hop flavor really is potent at the straight away and at the very end of the taste. In the beginning it is mainly of lemon and is mixed with a smoother maltier biscuit flavor. The hop starts to lose ground in the middle to more bready and sweet flavors. But the hop only loses strength very momentarily, as toward the end a huge bitter grapefruit hop flavor comes and leaves its lingering mark on your tongue. The aftertaste is quite grapefruity and seems to linger a bit longer then my personal preference for that particular flavor. Mouthfeel – The mouthfeel is on the creamier side. It really coats the mouth nicely, which with the lower carbonation level makes for a rather nice smooth mouthfeel. Overall – It has very good qualities that many Double IPA fans would like. Its appearance, nose, mouthfeel and initial taste are all great, with the only thing that doesn’t do it for me being the very persistent grapefruit flavor.

From bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus. Taste is bitter, but with a big malty background. Lots of flavor. Slick medium mouthfeel. Bitter finish.
