Hops and citrus/pine bold with a flora on the pallet leaves it dancing. The ABV and different hop layers are a nice blend. Rather dry finish. ewestern (198), Ohio, USA

Pours a deep golden, and appetizing, color - nice medium white head. Aroma is very piney and hoppy, not too much sweetness within the smell. Taste is wonderful hoppy and earty tones. Not as much citrus and sweet notes per usual DIPA. - nice hoppy bite. Very, very good DIPA. timsilvia32 (447), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2009 12 oz. Bright golden pour, fairly clear. Little white head. Great hop aroma with a little sweet malt. Taste is incredibly balanced hop and sweet malt profile. Little biscuit, yellow raisin peeks through, then is immediately matched by the piney hops, very little citrus really. Slightly bubbly light medium body. Very interesting clean double IPA. Dangerously drinkable for 9.4%. Nice bottle art as well. Definetely a beer to compare pros and cons to Hopslam with. I tend to like a sweeter, stickier brew, but it is hard to argue with the quality of this. jake65 (1760), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Bottle: Pale golden pour with a light haziness. Thin beige head and tons of sheet lacing. Aroma is rich and citrus filled. Taste is full of citrus and floral hops and a smooth, malty sweetness. Lingering florals in the tail. An excellent version of the style. Poured orange with pure white head. Plenty of lace. Pungent floral nose. Flavor starts with a blast of citrus, primarily oranges and then progresses with some more bitter citrus fruit like kumquat and grapefruit. Finished bitter with some mild peppery spice. dchmela (1476), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2009 12 oz bottle from Durhambeer. Pours a very nice clear gold with a thick white head. From the look of the pour, this could pass for some uninteresting BMC pilsener, but no BMC would have this aroma! Huge resiny hop citrus pine aroma, just loads of hops and very fragrant. Resiny hops, citrus, pine and enough malt to keep it slightly balanced, but this is a very hop forward beer and has a tremendous hop bitterness to go with it. Finishes with just a touch of the bitterness and some earthiness. Damn fine DIPA. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 26, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Clear, golden pour with a thin, white head. Decent amount of lacing. Big aroma of citrus hops. Flavor is more of the same, with a nice mix of resin and some earthy funk. Long, bitter finish. Really nice beer.
