4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Light gold color. A little too light I thought. Pleasant grapefruit aroma with notes of tropical fruit. Very smooth flavor, hops are plentiful yet not overpowering. Very full mouthfeel. goes down very smooth like all Founders beer. One of the best

Pours a super clear orangey gold, med light white head. Aroma is dank pineforest, citrusy hop, resin. Flavor is med sweet (some booze) & quite bitter (pine & grapefruit). Super clean, big, well produced DIPA... fairly smooth just hints of booze.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance was clear orangish gold with lasting creamy white 1 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are orange, pineapple, grapefruit, mango with soft pale, crystal malts. Taste are orange, grapefruit, soft pine and pineapple with mild sweet backbone malts. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with medium body, lasting balanced fruity bitter finish. A good solid DIPA, drink it.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This one can stand with the NW big boys. Nice citrus/pine aroma, dark golden color, small but sticky head, adequate lacing. Taste is right in the wheelhouse for a DIPA, again high ABV hides behind the hops. Very drinkable, smooth, mildly bitter. Packs a bit of a punch.

Good beer, nice hop profile, great aroma. Founders Is always a pretty solid brewery so I am not surprised

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer was sold to me a being as good as DogFish 90 and a potential replacement. Althogh this was good and drinkable a DogFish it is not. Beer poors a medium slightly hazy orange color with a white but rapidly diminishing head. Aroma is strongly hoppy and heavily of grapefruit w/some pine. Quite pleasant however. Palate is slightly light but not bad and the malt backbone initially seemed a little weak as well As the beer warmed to proper temp, it became more balanced and appropriate. All in all a good effort. Nice to have another strong IBU beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Deep yellow in color with a foamy white head that disappeared. Nose is predominantly booze, pine, slight floral. Flavors of caramel, toffee, pine, bread, dirt, and sweet flowers. This is what an IPA should be!

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a nice golden amber, thick head that dissipates to a thin layer leaving white lacing behind. Aroma and flavor of grapefruit, touch of piney resin. Appreciate the lighter malt profile, tastefully balanced to showcase the citrus hops. Refreshing departure from DIPAs with darker malt profiles.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours mostly clear lightly oranged gold with a large foamy white head that fades to a rim and slight coating. Aroma is caramel malt, grass and sweet grapefruit hoppy citrus. Taste is roasted grain to resiny hops and grapefruit throughout. Solid malt backbone with an aftertaste that's strongly bitter after some warming but citrus sweet balanced when chill. Rides a noticable current of alcohol. Dry; a wee bit thin. Far less sweet than the typical IIPA - once it warms, it's a boozed out grapefruit hop dragon. When cold the bitterness is greatly subdued and citrus rises. Drink accordingly.
