3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pros: Great appearance. Surprised to see itís a natural ale, with a lot going on in the bottom of the bottle. Has some lemon and pine going on in the nose, but itís not bright, or fresh.
Cons: After 2-3 months in the bottle, it just doesnít do much for me. Itís almost not ratable. Doesnít have the freshness that I desire. Simplistic malt profile. Hops lacks vibrancy and pungency.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle. Hazy gold topped by a medium-sized rocky beige head. Citrus hop nose. Big bitter hops right in your face. Huge alcohol presence. Not for the faint of heart. Finish is dry and bitter. Nuff said.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Drunk because I am in double trouble tonight... Maybe a bottle of dog house would be more appropriate... Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Aromas are resin, citrus, pot pourri. Taste is oily, bitter, sweet too. Lots of oily resin hops. Chewy. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours copper-gold with a big grapefruit hop aroma. The flavor is hugely bitter. Those hops are of course good though Iím thinking itís out of balance even for the style. There is a little sweetness in there with something that reminded me of brown sugar. Of course it has that long bitter IIPA finish.

A very enjoyable beer from Founders. Smooth with a bitter finish. A great double IPA!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Huge hop monster. This bad boy does the trick everytime. Love how easy drinking it is despite how much alcohol is in there.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Nose is more muted than I expected citrus, lots of pineapple, slight bread. Taste is strong pine, grapefruit, lychee, sweet honey tones, herbs, floral notes, finish is bitter but is undercut with a little caramel and biscuit.
Mouthfeel is rich.
This is a good beer, but it is not up to some of the more recent double IPAs I have had - which is surprising given Founders are outstanding.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a hazy yellow, golden color with a light head. Pineapple, citrus aroma. Citrus bitterness, fruity sweetness, alcohol and rather light for the ABV. Good beer

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled from draught (at Draught 55). A superbly smooth brew. Its potency is masked by the perfectly balanced flavour - and makes it dangerously delicious.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a light to medium rust with no head. Nicely balanced in the mouth. Didnít hit me over the head with hops.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy yellow-gold with thin cream-colored head. Aroma bready citrus, pineapple, pear, hint of lemon and cherry. Neat, but relatively mild nose for a double IPA. Medium-light body, watery with a grainy texture, fine, moderate-to-heavy carbonation with only mild burn. Flavor is Tons of sap, grapefruit rind, and raw grain. A bit hot on the exhale. A decent DIPA, not great though. This bottle is about 5 months old, so perhaps it is a different story when fresh.
