Absolutely amazing aroma. This stuff is off the chain. Maybe the most complex dipa i have ever had. It starts with predictable lemon, grass, pine, grapefruit, and pineapple but finishes with something like a vanilla latte aged in an oak barrel. Seek this out...founders wins again

Bottle from hop hideout, sheffield. Pale orange ale with small white head. Aroma is fruity with Orange peel and grapefruit. Taste is brilliant crisp dry bitterness. My respect for founders is gaining speed, probably the best major brewery in usa.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white head. Light tangerine aroma. Medium body, medium carbonation. Nice hit of bitterness - just a touch if sticky sweetness. Light caramel, pine, woody resin, lemon... Nice balance. Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong willed ipa. Not syrupy enough to qualify as a double ipa. Certainly strong enough alcohol wise. Straight head while drinking this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A fantastic IPA, floral, hoppy sherbet notes on the nose, there is enough malt to give a thick mouthfeel, much thicker than most DIPAs, but then the hops come to the fore again on the finish. Very easy drinking for its 9.4%, you could happily tackle a few pints of this.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy gold topped by a medium-sized rocky beige head. Citrus hop nose. Big bitter hops right in your face. Huge alcohol presence. Not for the faint of heart. Finish is dry and bitter. Nuff said.

355ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Drunk because I am in double trouble tonight... Maybe a bottle of dog house would be more appropriate... Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Aromas are resin, citrus, pot pourri. Taste is oily, bitter, sweet too. Lots of oily resin hops. Chewy. Nice.

Pours copper-gold with a big grapefruit hop aroma. The flavor is hugely bitter. Those hops are of course good though I’m thinking it’s out of balance even for the style. There is a little sweetness in there with something that reminded me of brown sugar. Of course it has that long bitter IIPA finish.

A very enjoyable beer from Founders. Smooth with a bitter finish. A great double IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Huge hop monster. This bad boy does the trick everytime. Love how easy drinking it is despite how much alcohol is in there.

Bottle. Nose is more muted than I expected citrus, lots of pineapple, slight bread. Taste is strong pine, grapefruit, lychee, sweet honey tones, herbs, floral notes, finish is bitter but is undercut with a little caramel and biscuit. Mouthfeel is rich. This is a good beer, but it is not up to some of the more recent double IPAs I have had - which is surprising given Founders are outstanding.
