Pours a fairly clear golden with a medium head which dissipates and laces......aroma of bread, sweet malt, old shoes......taste is booze going right up my nose, heavy malt backbone, very thick mouthfeel, tailing off into sweet bitterness.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
on tap at flying saucer in houston, about 2/3 of through my session there. surprisingly pale shade of golden as seems to be the direction imperial ipas are taking; aroma with loads of white grape, musk and wooden floorboards, reminded me of mosel riesling with some chalkiness; no alcohol showing whatsoever, hints of lychee, cake dough, big whack of bitterness with a clean finish suggesting menthol; very classy stuff indeed

Double Trouble lives up to its name. On the maltier end of the spectrum for IIPAs, featuring roasted malts, a range of fruity hops, a touch of sweetness and an endearing richness. A real treasure.

Poured from 12 oz bottle to pint glass. One finger white head. Gone quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma is hoppy with grassy notes. Apearance is a gold hazy color. Taste is medium bitter and very hoppy with grassy notes in adittion to some tropical citrus notes. Medium carbonation. Good clean finish. Good solid enjoyable IPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. This is a killer IPA. Big hops in all places but not overpowering and with a nice crisp finish. Definitely a brew that I will buy again.

Had it on tap at Owen & Engine in Logan Square ChiTown. Pous a hazy copper hie with a thin white duke head. Deep soulful malt aroma and taste. Mild overall for a double IPA. Makes me feel all the feels.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour to snifter, bottled on 6/11/15. Beautiful lightly-golden pour, some haze, and a nicely-lasting head. Nose is of ripe mangos, peach, pine, and flowers. Flavor is flowery, silky, citrus rind, a hint of tropical juice as it inches closer to room temp. A bit soapy finish. Medium carb, lingering is not overbearing, though. Wish I had a newer batch. Oh well! Still quite drinkable and worth trying.
