Very nice, a hoppy wheat beer basically. The brewer says that wheat beers are too tart, which i would debate, but i just realized that Founders really doesn’t do much wheat beers besides this.

Pours a hazy orange color with a small head.
The aroma is spicy and piney with a light sweet floral character.
The flavor is herbally bitter, lightly fruity, and a little bit grainy/doughy, The level of bitterness in this beer is very enjoyable.

Draft to goblet at Shakespeare’s. Looks good; light-brown with a boozy tint and white head. Smells solid; boozy and wheaty with a touch of malt and hops. Tastes solid too; much like it smells. Average on the palate. Good, not great.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Thorpe429 (4844) - , Illinois, USA - DEC 1, 2010
Brought a growler home from Founders a few weeks ago. Consumed a few days thereafter.
Pours a bright golden with slight haze and a nice white head. Good clingy lacing on the way down. Smell wasn’t as strong as I’d like, with some floral and citrus hops coming through. Taste brings the same bunch, although not in a very intense way. While this strays away from the boring end of the style, it’s not quite as interesting as Gumballhead and similar offerings. Slight wheat dryness. Drinkability is good on what I imagine is a pretty low ABV beer, but not nearly as good as most Founders offerings (which is really more praise for Founders than criticism of this).

Golden, slight haze. No head. No lacing. Citrus hops in the nose. Fresh grass. Aroma quite dull. The palate is acidic, light in body, short finish. Strong hop bitterness. Some citrus sweetness, but very crisp and dry. Unique for a wheat beer, but disappointing. Too bitter for what I expect in a summer wheat beer. Unbalanced.
