Brought a growler home from Founders a few weeks ago. Consumed a few days thereafter. Pours a bright golden with slight haze and a nice white head. Good clingy lacing on the way down. Smell wasn’t as strong as I’d like, with some floral and citrus hops coming through. Taste brings the same bunch, although not in a very intense way. While this strays away from the boring end of the style, it’s not quite as interesting as Gumballhead and similar offerings. Slight wheat dryness. Drinkability is good on what I imagine is a pretty low ABV beer, but not nearly as good as most Founders offerings (which is really more praise for Founders than criticism of this). On tap at brewery, pours a hazy golden with white head and lacing, aroma is of hay, grass and some hops, taste is very nice with a hoppy finish to it, overall I enjoyed this one.

Served on draft at Graydon’s Crossing, Grand Rapids, MI. Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a medium creamy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Bready and caramelly aroma with peach and other stone fruits. The taste is bitter hops, bready and nutty notes, light spice and faint fruity notes in the finish. Medium bodied. Very nice wheat beer.

Draft. Poured an hazy dark yellow color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus and wheat aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

On tap at Founders. Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma of citrus hops, hop oils, and wheat malt. Flavor of hop spices, light floral hops, and citrus. Very hoppy for a wheat beer and pretty tasty too. 7/4/8/4/14 [3.7/5]

Golden, slight haze. No head. No lacing. Citrus hops in the nose. Fresh grass. Aroma quite dull. The palate is acidic, light in body, short finish. Strong hop bitterness. Some citrus sweetness, but very crisp and dry. Unique for a wheat beer, but disappointing. Too bitter for what I expect in a summer wheat beer. Unbalanced.

This was a decent wheat beer, but didn’t have the usual flavor expected from the style. There wasn’t any banana or clove or coriander. This is basically just a plain ol’ light ale. It poured a semi-cloudy golden color with a big and soft white head. The head left an enourmous amount of lacing around the glass. The aroma and flavors were basically bland, though. I wasn’t impressed at all with this beer.

On tap @ Brixie’s. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus hops and lemongrass. Hops dominated the flavor and it was an incredibly hoppy wheat. Bottle this stuff!
