3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Narnad (1340) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - JAN 3, 2013
Hazy yellow color with a very small white head. Aroma has a fantastic mix of heavy lemon, orange citrus with a touch of pine and a light sweet malt finish. Flavor has a very well balanced orange and lemon citrus note with mild toasted notes and some malt sweetness at the finish. Body is a pretty light with very low carbonation and a slight dryness to it. Overall a really good brew. Citrus notes are highlighted very well and come through well accented by the light toasted sweetness provided by the malt. Just a tad bit watery on my palate for the flavors but wouldn’t keep me from having another one. Great brew!

12 oz bottle. Hazy amber pour into a tulip. Thin white head disipated with nice lacing along the sides. Aroma is an initial hit of grass and slight citrus. Grapefruit up front, sweet in the middle and fades into a nice bitterness, which lingers for quite awhile. Thick resiny mouthfeel. A keeper!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mcberko (4055) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 27, 2012
12 oz. bottle, sent from khoffman43 (thanks Kyle), pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Nose is very fresh, full of resinous, grassy hops, a bit of tropical fruits, and some caramely biscuity malts. Flavour follows, with grassy, zesty and somewhat resinous fresh-tasting hops, biscuity malts, ending on zesty citrus notes. Well-balanced and highly drinkable. Highly refreshing, fresh hop IPA. Great stuff.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 dreadnord (996) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 25, 2012
Pours transparent pale yellow with golden hues and a big white head. The nose is light cirtus, some corriander, corn husks and skunky bud. Taste is well bitter with a good sweet backbone. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean, the body is light and the finish is long.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 ineedbeer (183) - San Leandro, California, USA - DEC 24, 2012
Aroma has lots of grapefruit, lemon and pine resin. There is also a touch of an orange note. Light cracker malt character and low fruit esters. A touch of an alcohol note as it warms.
Pours a slightly hazy light golden orange with a pillowy white head that has solid retention.
Flavor starts off with some sweet citrus notes - lemon and orange. There is some cracker and biscuit flavor from the malt present as well. Mid palate you start to pick up more of a pine resin and grapefruit flavor from the hops. The bitterness is assertive and lingers as it dries the palate. There is a touch of hop astringency and the alcohol note is medium low. Little to no caramel to clash with the hops.
Mouthfeel is medium to medium light bodied with moderate carbonation. There is a slight hop astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall this is a surprisingly enjoyable hop forward beer from the Midwest. It has a nice dryness to it and isn't too sweet.

Bottle. Lemon malt and earthy citrus peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with one-finger head (guess I should have poured it quicker). Sweet orange malt and moderately bitter and tangy grapefruit peel/pine flavor. Hops flavor very interesting and unique. Excellent.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 brewskis (87) - Saint John, Indiana, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Pours a hazy light golden orange color with a finger length rocky head. Dissipates slowly into a thick, soapy lacing. Smells of grapefruit, lots of peach, lots of floral notes, pine, sweet carmel undertones as well. Taste starts with the grapefruit, lots of pine, peach, along with quite a bit of bitterness. Then in the middle, the malt mellows out the bitterness. Get a lightly toasted flavor as well as a good amount of carmel sweetness. Then on the back end that sweetness blends nicely with the fruit flavors that have lingered throughout. Get a bubblegum flavor, along with some grapefruit, floral, and pine. Definitely spicy. Bitterness lingers, but is mellow. Nice carbonation that makes the beer crisp, refreshing, and easy to drink. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Well done wet hopped IPA.
