Julie says a wet hop ale that is not as hoppy as it smell. Still not her favorite. It is curious she will give a 2.0

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 5, 2014 Pours a clean, clear gold with lasting foamy white head and great lacing. Aroma is fresh and crisp with lemon and other fresh-cut citrus. Slightly dank and maybe some evergreen in the aroma. Taste is crisp as well, with a fresh herbal hops and a clean grassy finish. Resinous and hoppy until the end. Everything to be expected from a wet hopped IPA. Like a slightly subdued, more drinkable "Enjoy By".

One word: overrated. This has an herbal mustiness that overwhelms the citrus and fruit notes that try to peek out. Certainly well made and layered, but the dominant aromas and flavors just aren’t particularly appetizing.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear deep gold with a very small white head that fades to a bit of sticky lacing. Aroma is candied grapefruit, light mango, grassy hops, honey, a nice mixture of citrus and tropical fruit with an undercurrent of sweet malts and pine. Taste is vibrant and juicy at first – oranges come to mind, in particular – with a balanced finish of citrus peel and tropical nectar, as well as a pronounced soapy/resiny hop bitterness. Maltier than most of what I drink in this category but still fresh tasting and crisp. Fun to have one of these at this time of year.

Grassy aroma bordering on BO. Yeah, that BO and strong. Golden color with little head. Grassy, citrusy flavor, fairly bitter. Having a hard thing me getting past the aroma.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2014 12 oz Bottle. Tasted on 10/31/14. Bottle from Moore Liquor. Pours to a golden blonde color with a white thin head. The aroma had fantastic bright floral & citrus notes to it. The taste clean with a great floral hop & very light on the palate. Nice finish with a great bitterness that lingers. Overall a fantastic beer. Probably my favorite beer I’ve tried from Founders. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to snifter. Murky, light copper with a half-finger of cream-colored head--most dissipating. Nice lacing. Jump-out-of-the-glass aroma of grass and citrus. Bitter up front until yielding slightly to to some citrus at the finish. Ringing after taste. Very good.
