3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle from EZ Liquors. Pours with a golden nectar colored body and a huge frothy white head. Aroma of fresh hops..wet bread..citrus rinds and rotting oranges. Medium bodied with strong carbonation and a very dry bitter finish. Flavor was weak with grapefruit rind and grain. I just really didnt care for this one. The palate was throwing the flavor off or it might have been the flavor throwing off the palate either way...meh.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The aroma of hops hit me as soon as I opened the bottle. Very carbonated with sizeable head. Unfiltered and almost orange in color. Strong citrus hop taste and a hint of pine at the finish. I am little surprised this is only an IPA and not a double IPA. Maybe a little too much carbonation, but still a winner.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bright gold pour, good sized white head. Rather bubbly looking. Smell of grass, grain, hop pine. Mouthfeel is nice and not overly carbonated. Solid citrus, pine, with some malt and biscuit that makes this a pleasant surprise. Very solid, crisp and refreshing. Where was this when I finished mowing the lawn this summer? I think this would be better as a Spring release named something else.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2010 2010 batch. Re-rate. Glowing clear and bright orange amber with a nice sized whit head. Bursting hop nose of tropical fruits, citrus, pine. Very delicious semi-sweet, moderately bitter flavor. Great balance. Much better after youíve had two of them. I donít mean that to say that Iím drunk and thatís why it tastes better. But that it takes a few good sized samples to really grasp what a beer is all about. This beer is all about goodness. I need another 4 pack. I donít do that averaging old rating with new rating bullshit. This is the best pale ale iíve had from founders. yum.
================================================ batch. Man, this was definitely a hot item at my local bottle shop. Wish I could have gotten more for trading purposes. Pours a a glowing orange with a small white head. Nose of wet hops. piney and citrus. Flavor of fresh hops, but a bit watered down in the palate even when fresh. Pretty good ipa, but honestly, i was expecting more.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Light orante in color with a very big off white head, very active carbonation. Aroma of citrus hops, maybe getting a little past it’s prime. Taste is hoppy- citrus, but they are getting a bit dull. Body is light to medium, with aggressive carbonation on the palate.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fresh 2008 bottle. Pours a hazy, glowing, golden-orange amber color. A massive, foamy, off-white head settles slowly to a patchy, well-retained blanket. Random, cloud-like patches of lace mark the glass. Wow, does this thing ever smell fresh. Massive citrus hop notes infiltrate the nose, everything from grapefruit juice to orange zest, lemon rind and kaffir lime leaves. Thereís a very light, almost neutral, grainy background with just a hint of toffee sweetness, but make no mistake, this one is all about the wet hops. Flavors show more of the same, bold, fresh citrus hop notes dominating a lightly sweet, toffee and grain base. The mouthfeel is medium-full and balanced, finishing on the dry, resinous side. Thereís nothing fancy going on here, this brew is just tasty as hell and unapologetically hoppy, without being unbalanced. If this was local to me, Iíd buy it by the truckload after each harvest. Great beer.

Only short posts? Citrus, light fruit, very smooth hops. Good. A little over-carbonated.
