Bottle. Pours hazy bright yellow. Strong citrus/grapefruit aroma, very inviting. Hops are abundant, strong, crisp, bright, and DELICIOUS. Didn’t know what to expect with the reasonably sized head that formed and persisted, but this one has an excellent refreshing taste, leaving the tongue thirtsting for more. Great citrus component. Great Beer!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a murky orange with a foamy white head. Heavy on the carbonation. Aroma is bitter, goddamned bitter. Smells extremely hoppy. Taste is bitter as hell. The bitterness and carbonation give this a Pop Rocks type effect on the tongue...Only more bitter. Mild hints of citrus. Big hop presence lingers long after each sip. Nice alcohol burn in each sip.

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2010 Picked this up for my 400th. golden orange pour with a huge sticky head, which might be from the pour. Aroma is sticky wet grass, lemon, spice and must, yeast, pine. Flavor is fairly strong grassy and pine hops with a balance of toasted malt, banana-orange juice, green apple. Flavor is very bitter yet extremely drinkable, before you know it the beers 3/4s gone. Somewhere around an IPA, yet not quite.
Re-rate 10/15/10: Golden orange pour with sticky white head. Aroma of mango, tropical fruit, wet grass. Mandarin orange. Flavor of juicy tropical fruit, some pine and grass. Great beer.

RE-RATE: I loved this last year, and searched frantically for it this year. Boy was i rewarded. It seems they changed the hops this time. Perhaps a bit subjective, but this is my favorite beer. Released around my birthday, so there you go.
Bottle out of a 4 pack. Pours a very pale yellow/gold, with a huge head. Excellent lacing lasts the entire way down. Aroma is huge of lemon, grass, mango, peach, yeast, and a hint of apple. The first sip explodes with that grassy wet hop character, then tightens as you pucker at the 70 IBUs. Flavors of lemon meringue, peach, and yeasty-tartness smacks your tongue, followed by an almost copper penny-tinged sweetness. Finish isnt as bone dry as one might suspect, with a soft chill on the sides of the tongue.
Absolutely first class, this is my favorite beer, hands down.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2010 Grrr! Forces really don’t want me to drink this beer... I accidentally froze the first bottle... and then the top broke off the second... so I may very well be drinking glass shards, but its worth it. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium white frothy head. Sweet yeasty orange tropical citric hop aroma, very fragrant, juicy, light grapefruit and passion-fruit. Bitter and juicy first taste, light orange, chalky yeast, peaches, citrus fruits, grapefruit & blood-orange. Light easy drinking sweet candy malt base that blends seamlessly with the hops and yeast. This is better than almost all of those hopped-up Belgian ’’IPA’’ emulators. Not too sweet, not too yeasty, not too hoppy but extremely flavorful and well balanced. I love MrRain’s descriptor of ’’dandelion,’’ thats spot on for the bitterness. Medium body, full mouthful, light chalkiness, great smooth fluffy medium bubbled carbonation. The carbonation is lively like in many Belgian strongs/blondes however it doesn’t overly ’’blow-up’’ the mouth the same way. It’s actually more crisp and light like a Belgian-Wit, or pineapple juice mixed with ginger-ale, yum! So easy drinking! 220.127.116.11.18 . . . . . . . . . . . .Pretty damn good, much dryer than the Double Trouble, carbonation is a little abrasive now although still quite fine, flavor is still great, doesn’t seem as grapey as before, this bottle isn’t super fresh though seemingly, a little bit of oxidation, still super awesome, need to try this fresh again, the first bottling was nothing short of amazing! Smells like white grape juice. 18.104.22.168.17

Thanks, Bri! Light, hazy golden with huge head. Crisp apple and light citrus with a significant bitterness and a bit of spicy hops. Apple comes through in the aroma and taste more than I’d like. Heavy carb on this bottle...by the sound of it, thought it was going to overflow after opening. I remember liking this much more previously, so I’m going to be kind and also re-visit w/ a fresh sample sometime soon. With this bottle, just not much to like.
