COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This liquid dream pours a hazy golden orange straw color with a large puffy white two-finger head. First sip of this beer rewards with a super juicy hop presence bursting with fresh orange and lemon citrus then continues to introduce toasted malt undertones.

Finally. The hunt is over for this one. After we started eating and drinking at NABC, someone wrote it down on the chalkboard. I got my order in. Total hops and floral aroma. Everything I love in an IPA (APA? No way. Total IPA). Bitter. Hoppy. Lovely.

Strong hop aroma. Pours a hazy lighter goldish-orange. Very bitter with fresh, wet, almost grassy hop notes loud and clear.Absolutely a fantastic beer.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with thick white head. Aroma is fresh hops, big dose of citurs on nose with some pine. Flavor is fresh hops, pine, grapefruit, orange, lemon and malt. Finishes bitter and crisp. Very refreshing ale but unsure if it really matches the American Strong Ale class as this is as much a pale ale as Alpha King.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2010 Bottle thanks to the recent distribution of Founder’s around here. Glad we’re getting the seasonals already. Pale hazy golden pour with big pillowy off-white head with great retention and lacing. A beauty of a pale ale. Big ol’ hoppy nose of pine, resin, and citrus. Earthy floral tones and a good bit of malt to back it up. A little bit of yeastiness, too. Bitter and crisp. Fresh as hell.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours out a rather clear, light straw color with a small white head. Very nice aroma of fresh hops, citrus, pine and some floral hop notes, with a little bit of sweet malts. Taste is complex, but very drinkable, nice citrus/pine hops with noticeable malt in there, but not much the hops take the stage and rightfully so, very solid and well done.

Bottle. An awesome hopped light yellow pale ale. Bitter with citrus and pine. Another score for founders.

Bottle. Pours hazy bright yellow. Strong citrus/grapefruit aroma, very inviting. Hops are abundant, strong, crisp, bright, and DELICIOUS. Didn’t know what to expect with the reasonably sized head that formed and persisted, but this one has an excellent refreshing taste, leaving the tongue thirtsting for more. Great citrus component. Great Beer!

BeerBunker (724) - Burbank, Illinois, USA - OCT 8, 2008
Pours a murky orange with a foamy white head. Heavy on the carbonation. Aroma is bitter, goddamned bitter. Smells extremely hoppy. Taste is bitter as hell. The bitterness and carbonation give this a Pop Rocks type effect on the tongue...Only more bitter. Mild hints of citrus. Big hop presence lingers long after each sip. Nice alcohol burn in each sip.

On tap @ Maproom. Hazy yellow with soft head, some lacing. Aroma of citrus and fresh hops. Taste is exreamly fresh crisp hops with some cirtus backbone. Solid beer, but missing something.

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2010 Picked this up for my 400th. golden orange pour with a huge sticky head, which might be from the pour. Aroma is sticky wet grass, lemon, spice and must, yeast, pine. Flavor is fairly strong grassy and pine hops with a balance of toasted malt, banana-orange juice, green apple. Flavor is very bitter yet extremely drinkable, before you know it the beers 3/4s gone. Somewhere around an IPA, yet not quite. Re-rate 10/15/10: Golden orange pour with sticky white head. Aroma of mango, tropical fruit, wet grass. Mandarin orange. Flavor of juicy tropical fruit, some pine and grass. Great beer.
