had this after the harvest party, 2010. pours clear gold. white head. big pepper (habanero) in the aroma and flavor. a touch of hops as well. altho it is quite basic, it is great to see a brewer push boundaries with beers like this

On tap at Founders in July 2009. A: Yellow gold with a white head. S: Lots of chili peppers in the nose here...it was incredible how much this one actually smelled like I had a sliced pepper under my nose. T: Not as much pepper as the nose, but that’s a good thing. A little bit of heat comes with the pepper, as well as slight hop bitterness. M: Lots of spiciness going on here. Fairly light otherwise. D: Very interesting, but not terribly drinkable. Clear, amber in color. A burst of jalapeños and light caramel malt in the nose. Light-bodied, lightly carbonated. Jalapeño peppers in the flavor with some sweetness of caramel malt to balance. I wouldn’t want to regularly drink it, but it was a fun experience, especially paired with the Devil Dancer sandwich.
