A fine companion to end a meal or relax in front of the hearth with, this robust ale will cellar well for years. Brewed with ten varieties of malted barley this stout is extremely smooth, complex and rich in body. We recommend serving at cellar temperature. Sit back and enjoy its richness and complexity, you’re about to drink the ultimate winter warmer.

Kraftfull stout med inslag av lakrits. Luktar lite som mörk sirap och är lika mörk med mörkare skum. En god stout.

Pours pitch balck with a big brown head. Great aroma with moderate to heavy notes of roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, sweetness. A bit winy, but very well balanced. Full body with a creamy mouthfeel and notes of roasted malt, cocoa, warm alchool.

12 oz. bottle served in a shaker- poured a blacker than midnight in a summertime thunderstorm when you can’t see your hand in front of your face color, 2mm darkened tan head formed and laced very well upon the vessel. Aroma of dark chocolate, molasses, black licorice, and home. Hits the mouth with a wide yet medium body, malt was roasted to the point of being burnt but could have stayed in there 3 days longer just to make sure, middle has a sweet and velvety chocolate sensation, finish is not oily but slightly crisp. A stout that drinks like a lager- boo!

Appearance: inky, viscous, syrupy pour; near black; short, purplish cream head that vanishes quickly. Aroma: molasses, dark chocolate, black coffee, some toffee, treacle, prunes, and a hint of black licorice. Taste: as the aroma indicates. Finish: smooth and rich, with lasting bittersweet chocolate and just a whisper of licorice. Notes: Can’t believe the palate on this thing. It’s huge and rich, but never feels boozy. It’s jam packed full of flavor. One of the better imperial stouts I’ve had. Bottle from Total Wine & More, McLean, Virginia.

This is a heavy beer. I don’t even feel right calling it a proper beer really. It’s like some sort of black beer-ooze from a some hellion’s brew.
