Brewed with ten varieties of malted barley this stout is extremely smooth, complex and rich in body. We recommend serving at cellar temperature. pours black with a small chocolate head that didn?t stick around long. Sweet chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee. Full bodied and smooth. Sweet up front but the roasted malt quickly take over. Coffee heavy in aftertaste. A more manly, less sweet breakfast stout.

Black with creamy , mocca-brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, hints of alcohol, hints of soy, licorice, good balance between the different elements. Medium bitterness and sweetness. Good stuff!

Bottle (dated 12/2/15) poured into a snifter. Nice, light brown head that mostly dissipates, but sticks to the glass. Color is opaque black. Aroma is pleasant, classic imperial stout...nothing jumps out. Wow...it is thick, oily and rich. Taste of malt, chocolate, hints of caramel and other sweetness with a coffee bite. Amazing.

Suprised I’ve not rated this and amazed where it stands these days. A phenomenal Imperial Stout at this ABV, three years at least in the cellar.

Things are very soft, very dark brown, very viscous in places. Nose is crystal toffee, light and fluffy white choc and brown sugar. Initial taste is a sharp rusty dark malt, milk and leather. This one is a thinker not a stinker. Carbonation is sleek enough and mouthfeel rich and oily. Finishes a tarry plum richness, wee bit tart and not seriously boozy. Lingers a respectful inky roast and fades out a hum of sweetness. Kinda wish we still has this on the regular.

Smells mostly of black licorice then very dark fruits... You get a sense of the high alcohol too...black as midnight and just as bold...first taste is a little sweet...then a touch of alcohol burn finishing with coffee and hops bitterness...so basically for me it starts good then declines...the lasting coffee taste on the palate is nice after the bitterness goes away...strong coffee tastes and alcohol with time..has depth but more about being bold/heavy and in your face! Earthiness after sitting a bit....time and warmth hurt this beer significantly

*~*CONTROVERSIAL OPINION ALERT*~* This beer is way too ridiculous. The ABV is out of control. Sure they hide it decently well but it still tastes way too alcoholy for a beer. I love a good stout but this is not even close to my favorite.

Deep opaque black-brown with a light tan head. Notes of molasses, light vanilla, some roasted coffee notes. Quite bitter, a bit of sweetness. Heavier body, fairly acidic, not a ton of carbonation, oily. Longer finish. Quite good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells of roasted barley chocolate coffee, dried fruit and booze. Luxurious silly black color. Super sweet chocolate coffee milk with some warmth cause of the high ABV contents but extremely smooth. Full body with light carbonation. This was told to me it was like chocolate milk and that’s exactly what I got not to mention this is a 12 oz bottle from 2014. Nice work.
