4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
The alcohol is hidden so well its tastes like a standard stout, and if it was a regular stout it would be the best one on the market. It has the cigar bite of old rasputin and the dark chocolate coffee tongue coating of the breakfast stout. If you like subtle balanced imperial stouts, this might be the best one out there.

Colored like molases, this beer smells of caramel, vanilla, and booze. Has good lacing, but no head retention....mostly due to the alcohol though. Tastes of lots of fresh chocolate and high alcohol.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark brown to black beer, dark brown head with filmy retention. Nose is roasty, coffee, dark chocolate, dried fruit in the background. The flavor begins semi-sweet with dried fruit, coffee and caramel, then develops into a bitter hardroasted finish with lots of coffee, dry notes, alcohol and roasty bitterness. Very long aftertaste with roast, coffee, chocolate and warm alcohol. Thick and massive istout.

Pitch black in the glass. Small but good holding head. Good roasted malts. For some maybe to much of the roasted taste, but i like it.

355ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co., Glasgow (£4.00):
Strong with lots of coffee & roasted notes, strong chocolate too with some sweetness & a little alcohol. A big beer but the alcohol isnít overpowering & some dark fruits, smoky notes & sugars come through as well.
Pitch, opaque black with a still body & topped with a chocolate coloured head thatís creamy & bigger than expected given the abv.
Strong again with big chocolate flavours & a smokey taste with some coffee. Touches of alcohol come through as well & a milky chocolate taste. Darker fruits appears towards the end with some strong malts & roasted flavours with some sweetness at the end.
Huge at 10.5% but incredibly easy to drink with most of the alcohol hidden. Silky smooth & full bodied with tonnes of flavour & almost no carbonation making it seem quite ceamy & boozy. A warming finish that is quite sweet too.
Another amazing Fonders beer, Iím disappointed I didnít grab more when I had the chance. Maybe not as good as their Breakfast Stout but still an excellent beer & a must try.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured deep black with a thickness to it. Some butter and roast in the flavor with very little bitterness. Doesn't taste overly boozy but coats the mouth. It's actually pretty balanced.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, Ship in a Bottle, West Kirby. Pitch black pour with a tight lingering tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, milk chocolate, dark fruit and cocoa in the beak. Plenty more roasted character and choc jammed into the flavour. Slight ashy notes with some hop bitterness lurking in the shadows. Rich and smooth this warmed up very nicely. Alcohol skilfully suppressed. A cracking Impy straight out of the top drawer and a well worthy import.

Wow pours very dark in color, with a dark head. As the description states, drink this one as a winter warmer at room temperature. Be careful has a bite.
