A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

Pours thick black with small but clean and uniform brown head. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee grounds, vanilla, and bourbon. Vanilla and bourbon combine to leave a sweet aroma but coffee is definitely the most prevalent. I love beer and coffee so this is great. Nice blend of sweetness, coffee, and a mild sweet bourbon laced alcohol. Strong and robust; sweet and smooth. Very nice set of flavors and aromas assembled here.

Sample from keg @Stockholm beer & whisky festival. Lovely smooth stout with flavours of coffee, chocolate and ripe fruits. Vanilla coming on strong in the aftertaste along with the woody bourbon notes. Liked this a lot. According to the Founder’s guys in the festival stand, production is increasing. Hope they are correct, I missed the latest limited release in Sweden.....

Black colour, beautiful mocca head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, bourbon, soy sauce. Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter, flavours of bourbon and coffee. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. For Alba´s 24th birthday.

I grab this beer every year, one to have right away and a few to age for months to a few years. I’ll rate a fresh one( I wrote this review in my phone notes when it was released but forgot to submit here). Poured from the bottle almost completely black, thick and with just about a fingers worth of brown head. The nose is all barrel and alcohol before you get coffee and Vanilla. The flavor follows suit for me, the hotness of the alcohol hits first before it gets smoothed out by vanilla and coffee. The feel is thick like syrup but carbonated adding to the appeal of the beer. This is an outstanding stout that I will continue to purchase many of and enjoy!

12oz bottle. Pours black with a thick light mocha head. Smells strong cocoa and coffee roastiness. Unbelievable mouthfeel. Tastes like their breakfast stout but the flavors come through much, much more. Cocoa, vanilla and coffee roastiness. Lovely, lovely beer. Well worth its rating.

12oz bottle thanks to Rene. Pours out black and oily, small tan head. Big, bold aroma of coffee and chocolate. Sweet chocolate bar, more coffee, roast grains, bourbon notes and vanilla. This one stands up to its reputation.

20/20 outstanding. Rich chocolate, subtle coffee undertones with the oak/bourbon finish. So well balanced. Delicious. Finest beer I've ever had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2016 bottle from Stone in Asagaya. Pours an oily black with a half finger of dark brown foam that dissipates quickly. Tons of cacao nib, roasted coffee and light vanilla in the nose. Some light wood on the palate with more cacao nib, espresso and lightly charred molasses. Light warming finish with some bourbon notes. Fairly dry. Great stuff.

Stoked to finally try. Strong vanilla and coffee flavours upfront. Finishes with some sweetness and oak. Really well balanced and hides the booze pretty well.

Truly not as amazing as expected. For the hype get epic BBB. Nose light vanilla. Lots of coffe notes little barrel or bourbon. I am guessingthey arerepeating barrels. Thick on tongue. Good beer but not incredible. Nice lasting head.
