A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.

Deep, intense mocha and coffee flavors. Undertones of chocolate and vanilla bean, oats, medium hop presence. Finishes with subdued spice and very understated bourbon nuances. Rich, creamy, intense and well balanced, yet thin on the palate for the style.

355ml bottle from Vino, shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours opaque dark brown with a persistent tan head. Lovely tight, tiny-bubbling head. Aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, hazelnuts, premium coffee. Taste is all of the preceding m’lud. Great structure to the palate. Long roasted, caramel biscuit and boozy finish. Yeah.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn crema head. Nose - syrup and toasted sweet pancakes with chocolate. Hazelnuts. Taste - maple syrup and chocolate with an alcohol finish. Loads of wood. Palate - full bodied with a big creamy but slightly tannic middle section and a long dry finish, which keeps coming back with richness. Overall - loads going on,
