On the nose there is a big dose of spent coffee grounds, dark chocolate, sweet vanilla and bourbon notes mixed with just a touch of earthy dark fruit. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with s slight touch of heat on the late palate. Smooth chocolate and sweet caramel notes mingle with dark coffee bitterness and rich bourbon and vanilla. The oak complements the flavors wonderfully and the balanced finish keeps flowing with lingering chocolate bourbon notes.... YUM.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2013 Bottle in a trade thanks to ohatdog1! Pours a thick black with tan ring of head that leaves great lacing that slips down the glass. Aroma of bba goodness, roasted malt, vanilla and dark chocolate. Taste is coffee, vanilla, oak, bourbon; thick mouth, a bit boozy and bitter. Solid, but not sure if it is worth the hype.

Many thanks to shrubber85 for the trade! Pours a thick jet black with a small tan head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, bourbon, and roasted malts, with hints of oak. It tastes like a liquid bourbon ball, the chocolate and bourbon character really shine through. Long and rich finish, slightly warming from the abv. Absolutely amazing, I only wish this was more readily available, I would buy this all the time!

Pours a pitch black with little brown head and no lacing. Aroma of cold coffee, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon. Taste has dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, vanilla, light green peppers. Full body and low to medium carb. Very good!

Good, but not my favorite in this style. Pours almost black with a foamy beige head. Smell of chocolate and bourbon. Taste has a little bourbon, chocolate vanilla with a thick body with small amount of carbonation. Good but prefer other barrel aged stouts like plead the 5th.

Big black pour with a thick tan head. Caramel, malt and roast. Def get the coffee aroma here. Medium body, decent amount of carbonation. Slight bourbon and slight vanilla flavors present along with the caramel and coffee flavors. Dark chocolate flavors linger on your palate. Tasty beer

Coffee punch to the face, in a good way. Sweet backbone shows itself throughout. Beautiful color, used motor oil. Fantastic.

Great smell, lots of chocolate, some alcohol and bourbon. Taste is bourbon, coffee, raisin, chocolate. Amazing beer.
