Tap. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate toasted malt and hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good beer.

Tap (HBF2016) (5-:4:5+:3+:10=2.8+)
Dirty yeasty aroma, pretty rough. Pungent hops in the taste dominate, but there are some rich malts too. Full palate. A bit heavy, and very messy. Doesn’t know what it’s trying to be, it certainly isn’t a "Brown Ale".

Tap at the source. Pours molasses brown, tan head. Aroma is malt caramel, dank hops, roasty, citrus. Flavor is roasted malt, caramel, orange, citrus. Very nice. Not exactly a brown in the traditional sense, but it’s exceptional.
