Probably the best beer I’ve ever had, thick frothy nitro head, dark colour, smooth body, aroma of coffee and chocolate.

On tap at Founders. Pours dark brown nearly black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is very much freshly brewed coffee with a lot of roasted malt, some dark chocolate and sweet toffee. Flavor starts with a ton of coffee, black coffee that has been sitting in the pot with the power turned off for a couple hours. Also holds some cocoa notes and just a tiny bit of lactose. Medium to full body and a soft carbonation. If you like coffee, this is great, not all the way balanced though. I love coffee so I thought it was a very good dessert beer.

nitro tap at founders..pours dark brown, almost black with medium, creamy head..aroma of strong coffee, chocolate, and is dominated by such roasted malts...flavor is very similar with an added lactose component to it. Creamy and rich, this is yet another exceptional take on their porter

Very dark brown/black pour. Frothy is definetely a good descriptor of the head, which is tan. Very strong coffee aroma with some roast malt and chocolate hints. Nice creamy mouthfeel from the nitro. Wonderful coffee flavors also accented by some assorted chocolates. Hint of lactose. Finish nice like a mocha coffee. If you are a stout fan, this brings in some elements of some sweet and American stouts. Pretty darn good.

Enjoyed this on tap at the brewery. Pours jet black with a frothy white head from the nitro, I assume. Has the consistency of chocolate milk and many of the same flavors. Heavy with cream, espresso beans, and cocoa. A great dessert beer.

On tap at Founders. Murky opaque brown body, medium tan head. Huge nose with coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Creamy body, slightly prickly, dominated by coffee, toast, and dark chocolate. Rich.
