3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nitro draft at Trinity Brass Tap. Pours a midnight black with a dense, creamy foamed tan head. Some islands of foamy lacing along the glass, but not a solid sheet like you see with some other nitro stouts. Aroma has nice roasted malt notes with hints of oatmeal and black chocolate. Flavor is slightly sweetheart up front with a subtle hop bitterness in the finish. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A very nice and easy drinking stout.

nitro pour...dark brown with a medium creamy tan head...excellent lacing and retention. aroma has some dark chocolate and roast...a bit subdued by the tight nitro head. flavor has great dark chocolate...roasty bitterness. mouthfeel is medium and crearmy with a dry dark chocolate burnt/bitter finish. crushable.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nitro @ Redlight Redlight in Orlando, Fl... Poured pitch black with a thick forming, khaki head. Of course the nitro allowed for lots of lacing and retention. Silky mouthfeel, fair amount of bubble on the palate. Grains and roast with a mealiness character. Some charred and roasted malts with a hint of coffee and dark chocolate.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught on nitro. Pours a near-black color with a moderate tan pillowy head on it. Nose is roasty and with some grains coming through - I could really get the oatmeal in this one. Taste had some roasted coffee elements to it and was pretty smooth. Rather enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft from Coalhouse Pizza. Founders nailed it with this oatmeal stout. While some oatmeal stouts up the ante with the spice, dark fruit and sugar, this oatmeal stout quietly hints oats and brown sugar. The body of this brew is soft and pillowy and very enjoyable. While I find Founder’s IPAs to be too abrasive, I’ve grown to enjoy all of their stout/porter offerings.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very stiff, tight, dense khaki head. Inky. Nice roast and coffee aroma, a little subdued. Nice, mellow, nutty roast, very lightly sweet. Great mouthfeel and overall very smooth. Buffered aftertaste. Excellent. Fermentation Lounge, sunny Friday before Labor Day with Triock.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nitro pour. Black with frothy brown head. Pretty bland oatmeal and light sweet malt flavors, aroma is quite similar. Boring.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Fermentation Lounge - on tap. Nitro pour - thick head with a lot of action due to the nitro - fun to watch of course. Deep dark black pour. Aroma has some smoky accents, a hint of coffee. Flavor is bold with some roasted smoky notes, a touch of black coffee, some creosote notes. Nice chalky mouthfeel. Part of the Founder tap takeover welcoming this brewer to Florida. Solid stout, as expected.
