COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Founders take on a classic style, brewed with a generous amount of flaked oats, chocolate malt, roasted barley and a healthy helping of Nugget hops, Founders Oatmeal Stout is nitrogen-infused to give it an extra smooth and creamy mouthfeel. An attractive cascade effect gives this beer its forthright visual appeal—and the body and clean flavor delivers on that initial promise.

Nitro draft at The Oak. Pours dense and pitch black with a nice thick creamy head that just sits. Aroma is dark roasted coffee, cream, black licorice and light chocolate. Tastes very creamy with dark roasted coffee. Light sweetness with a pretty bitter finish. Not very complex but still tasty with a nice thick creamy body.

Pours a pitch black color with a thin creamy light brown head. Appealing aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor also has the chocolate / roasted malt combo but it feels weaker than in the aroma. The body is light while the carbonation is moderate.

Nitro draft at Pig and Finch in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is black, with a creamy light tan head. The aroma is roast, bit of softly sweet cocoa and a general grain smell. The taste is a nice blend of the roast, the sweet cocoa and the grain of the oatmeal. Quite smooth, a bit creamy, generally pleasant to drink. The palate is medium bodied, the nitro gives it the creaminess, and the roast dries out the finish nicely. Easy drinking, nice one.
