3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nitro draft at Pig and Finch in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is black, with a creamy light tan head. The aroma is roast, bit of softly sweet cocoa and a general grain smell. The taste is a nice blend of the roast, the sweet cocoa and the grain of the oatmeal. Quite smooth, a bit creamy, generally pleasant to drink. The palate is medium bodied, the nitro gives it the creaminess, and the roast dries out the finish nicely. Easy drinking, nice one.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft on nitro. Blah blah nitro cascade thick head. Slightly grainy nose. Thick and full and creamy mouthfeel. Not bad for the price.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had a portion of a pint at Founders.
Appearance: Nitro stouts can never do no wrong. Looks gorgeous. Black with a tan head. Very good looking lacing.
Smell: Chocolate. Roast. Coffee. Nothing complicated.
Taste/feel: Chocolate. Roast. Coffee. Definitely a lighter beer, as the feel is thin, yet creamy. Is that possible? Apparently so. It just has a light flavor that lets you know it’s a low ABV, but it still packs a nice little punch. Excellent for what it is. This stuff ought to be bottled or something, because this would be a damn fine sessionable stout.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nitro tap at Dublin’s. Black coffee pour. Nose of deep roasted malt and espresso. Flavor is coffee, roast malt, cocoa, and a bit of cream sweetness. Nice creamy mouthfeel between the oats and nitro. Very light, easy drinking stout.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nitro tap. The appropriate color and density. Lots of lacing. Oatmeal on the nose and palate. Not too long of a finish, and somewhat lacking in malt flavors like chocolate and coffee. Still, a nice pleasant hop pine to go along with the abundance of grains.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2013 Nitro tap: very deep brown, nearly black body with a nice, creamy, micro bubble layer of tan foam; nice staying power, leaving awesome rings of lace behind.
Aroma is muted cocoa nibs, light oat, some creamy sweetness, & a touch of coffee beans in the finish. Taste is nice & smooth with notes of semi-sweet cocoa, light cream, smooth baked oats, & a tiny bit of finishing coffee ground bitterness. Pretty nice, but I would like a bigger mouth feel.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery. Nitro version. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Slight bitterness provides a kick. Nitro gives the beer a creamy mouthfeel. I give extra points for the low alcohol, strangely enough. Because of that, and the not overly heavy body, you can have a few of these and not fill your belly and/or topple over in a stupor.
