2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Black pour, medium brown head.
Roasty milky sweet aroma. Flavor was sort of weak and roasty. A little unpleasant. Mouthfeel was pretty thin. Not great.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black beer. I put it in a growler from nitro so there was no head or lace when I poured or drank it. The aroma is more roasted malt and less oatmeal. The flavor has a little more oaty character and its quite nice. The body is a bit thin, cool, and mellow but the finish is rich and roasty.

Wow... this is the easiest drinking stout i have ever had. Very enjoyable for me but may not satisfy a big beer desire. But in my case the glass was empty before i new it - which is a good thing.

[5277-20130427] Tap. Roasted grains and nutty malt aroma. Black body with a huge long-lasting creamy mocha nitro head. Light toasted nutty malt grain flavour has a long roasted malt aftertaste. Full body. Tasty. (7/4+/7/4/16) 3.8

On nitro tap at Proof. Thick, creamy tan head that holds forever. Amazing lacing. I’m more than halfway through the pint and there’s still half an inch of creamy foam. Aroma is light coffee, some light sugar sweetness. Taste is slightly vanilla, I doubt there’s actual lactose in this beer, but I get some milky sugars. Mouthfeel is next level shit: velvety, little bubbles all over my tongue. I can dig this.

Lightly roast coffee, milk and grain. Good flavors but a bit sour in the finish. Nice texture from the nitro.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draft at Taste Bar & Bistro in Randolph. Pours a black-brown complexion with tan head. The taste is toasty with mild malt. Surprisingly filling and without smooth mouthfeel. Not a standout out from this brewer. The selection is a disappointment in the middle of the pack.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear dark brown, almost black, body under a small creamy nitro brown head. The nose is dry and roasty with some sweet oats and light coffee. The flavor is lightly sweet, a little thin, with some roast and a little coffee. Mouthfeel is rather thin with the usual nitro feel and a lingering sweetness. Not really all that into this one, surprised to have a Founders beer I don’t really like.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nitro tap at Capone’s. Pours black/brown with tall tan head. Aroma is chocolate, earthy. Taste is sweet, dark and roasty malt with chocolate notes. More of an irish stout than a sweet stout. Oatmeal adds a lot of body here. Quite filling.

Nitro tap. Dark black with tan head. Amazing dissipating creamy stout body. Coffee and roast malt aroma, hint of chocolate. Same taste. Medium body. I think the nitro helped this one. Good nonetheless.
