Tap at brixx Charlottesville - pours pitch with a thick, pillowy tan head that slowly settles to about a finger of head. Aroma is roasted without going into burnt territory. Taste is sweet with a thicker palate. Finishes slightly bitter and dry. Overall, a good example of the style, though I do wish the flavor and aroma were more pronounced.

Nitro draft at Brixx Charlottesville. Pours black with an inch of khaki foam that leaves a lot of lacing. Nice roasted chocolate on the nose and the tongue. The lactose balances the roasted chocolate nicely. Finishes clean. Very nice!

Really enjoyed this pillowy brew from Founders. Super malty and biscuity, roasted oats and toffee take the stage. Some creamy foam on top, with insane head retention. Sessionable and delicious. Well done!

On nitro at Crunchys. Heavy roast coffee aroma. Dark pour with a standard nitro creamy head. Smooth feel and heavy roast coffee and chocolate flavor.

Milk chocolate and light roast coffee on the nose. Almost black but with a ruby edge, and fully retaining, beige head foam. Dry, roasty, smokey, savory, and bitter. Medium bodied with frothy carbonation, and an earthy, roasty finish.

On nitro at Jose Pistolas. Pours thick, dark, unclear coffee with a huge creamy light cocoa head. Aroma some sweet, roasty, and smokey notes so fine in the nose. Flavors bring huge roasted malts, sweet oats almost light nutty caramel. Body is so creamy and nice on nitro.

On nitro @ P.O.P.E. Aroma of iron and nitro roast. Pours black with a white head. Taste is vhocolatey and very tame like an Irish stout. Forgettable but solid.
