COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Founders take on a classic style, brewed with a generous amount of flaked oats, chocolate malt, roasted barley and a healthy helping of Nugget hops, Founders Oatmeal Stout is nitrogen-infused to give it an extra smooth and creamy mouthfeel. An attractive cascade effect gives this beer its forthright visual appeal—and the body and clean flavor delivers on that initial promise.

nitro draft at brewpub. aroma is dog food, tough roast, top soil. even through nitro head nose is detectable and delectable. appearance is opaque, cascades as typical, foam cap. milkshake legs out of control. flavor is same earthy notes from aroma plus milk chocoate at times to boot. mouthfeel is ultra thin and super drinkable.

Aromas of roasted coffee and a touch of molasses. Hops just add some generic bitterness. Some smoke, burnt, tar, charcoal flavors. Has a large off-white to light brown head. Beer is a dark, very close to black color. Somewhat on the sweet side; moderate bitterness. Pretty full bodied; distinctly creamy texture from the nitrogen; average carbonation; fairly long finish with roasted flavors. Overall a fairly good stout. I like the variety of roasted malt aromas with the coffee, molasses and hints of smoke, tar and charcoal.

Thanks to nitrogen this beer looks absolutely beautiful, and feels in the mouth exactly the same. Awesome one.

Insanely drinkable and pretty to look at. Not crazy sweet like many oatmeal stouts. Has more substance and a better palate than one would expect from such a sessionable beer.

On tap at Conrads. An almost opaque brown with a very creamy and well sustaining head with excellent lacing. Aroma has a light sweetness with oats, light roast and a little cocoa. Taste follows the nose with light roastiness and oats with a cocoa dusted nuttiness and very mild roasted bitterness. Finished mostly dry. Mouthfeel semi creamy with a medium body and soft nitro carbonation. Solid and sessionable with simple but satisfying flavor.

One of the better oatmeal stouts I've had. The perfect amount of everything. Founders hits the mark yet again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

On tap at Pinocchio’s. Dark pour with frothy head and pretty good lacing. Malt ball aroma. Lots of roasted coffee flavors with baking chocolate. Little sweetness. Creamy and coating on the tongue. Chewy oatmeal finish. Maybe the best nitro pour beer I’ve had and one of if not the best oatmeal stouts.
