COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A testament to Cascade hops in a bottle. This medium-bodied pale ale has a distinctive floral hop aroma and refreshing citrus flavor. You’ll notice a slight malty sweetness with a balanced hop finish. Perfect to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

Pours a cloudy orange with two fingers of frothy, slowly dissipating white head. Odor of citrus hops. Light mouthfeel, the taste starts off with some soft caramel notes and a slight hop bitterness in the aftertaste. The odor is strangely a lot stronger than the taste, but it is a pretty nice, crisp beer.

Bottle purchased at Corral Liquors in Granite City, IL. Pours a hazy amber with a loose, frothy, off-white head. The nose is a pleasant, subtle blend of caramel malt and both floral and citric hop notes. Medium-bodied and slick with soft carbonation and a moderate bitterness that reveals itself at the swallow. Sweet, slightly bready caramel malt and a blend of floral and citric hop notes, finishing lightly dry and bitter. This is a very solid and quaffable brew. Do these guys ever make a bad beer? This is the ninth Founders brew that I’ve rated, and while this is the lowest score I’ve given them, a 3.6 as a helluva baseline. I will certainly buy this beer again if they ever expand their distribution to KC.

Loved this beer dispute its lack of aroma and small head. Great citric floral flavor on top of a sweet malt back. A bit hoppier than most pas.

Deep golden orange pour with a thin white head. Piny dry hopped aroma. Slightly sweet taste with malt a nice a hop character. Simple easy to drink pale ale. The hops are by no means overpowering, but add a bit of complexity to the mix. Nothing special, but a good session beer.

Glass: Lager, Shaker Purchased at: Canal’s, Burlington NJ (thanks, Mike) Price: $1.89 Consumed at: home First Impression: Not a bad standard American Pils - good hops, depth, color, aroma, and sweetness. Aroma is hay and grass. Visuals are a golden, well carbonated, white headed beast. Taste is above average American Pils. Palate is a bit bitter and very sweet with a medium bitter finish. !2 oz bottle

This was paired with the first course. It lives up to its billing as an ideal lawn mower/griling beer. Light and refreshing this is the type of beer you could likely share with a friend who isn’t into stouts or more aggressive styles.

Aroma / Appearance - The golden body was typical for a pale ale complete with lively carbonation. The scent of freshly mowed summer grass resonated with the theme of a ’lawn mower beer’ perfectly. It was very light and airy without much complexity.

Flavor / Palate - Fading fast it took a few sips to get a handle on what was going on. When I did I discovered a nice blend of hops and honey. With a mildly bitter finish capping things off the experience was worth visiting again. If you are willing to go outside your local region to find a go-to pale ale this one might be for you.

Cascade hops spritzed in grapefruit. Founders knows how to balance hops and fruit and their Pale Ale is a winner. They call it their lawn-mowing beer but its great company to any dish or a great follow to a rich beer. Hats off.

Poured a nice cloudy golden hue with some visible yeast floating and nice carbonation. Big light gold head that never went away and left behind a nice lacing. Very nicely hopped. The hops were neither grapefruit or pine but were pleasantly floral. Somewhat one dimensional but still very nice. I don’t care what the Commercial Description says. This is much better than lawn mower beer. Quite nice.

Pours a nice amber with a white head. Aroma was nice and hoppy but not in your face. Flavor is of piney hops and nice mellow malts to even things out. Pretty good.
