COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A testament to Cascade hops in a bottle. This medium-bodied pale ale has a distinctive floral hop aroma and refreshing citrus flavor. You’ll notice a slight malty sweetness with a balanced hop finish. Perfect to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

Founder’s Dry Hopped Pale Ale. Poured from the usual Founder’s short, squat, twist-off bottle. Hazy golden color with a small, foamy, off-white head. Web-like lacing. Looks fairly thick in the glass. Toasted malt, faint toffee, and wet hops (grassy) in the aroma and flavor. The hoppiness is full flavored (slightly floral, some lightly bitter and tart citrus peel), but fairly mild in bitterness overall. Mild carbonation and medium mouthfeel. Not nearly as sweet and hoppy as the Founder’s Centennial IPA, but quite a bit drier overall. This was a good Pale Ale, but needed a little something extra to set it apart from the others that I prefer a little more... 12 oz bottle from Jungle Jim’s.

Smells of floral hops as it pours amber gold. It is bitter but very well balanced. That carries through to the end with a smooth dry finish.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a nonic tumbler A: Pours a sparkly golden pale color with a HUGE amount of fluffy white head, almost too much head (and I poured it gently, too). Foams takes quite some time to disappear and leaves tons of lacing. S: Very floral, grassy aroma, not much sweetness to speak of. T: Big hoppy bite on the nose, with grass and mild citrus being the most prevalent flavors. Some odd soapiness finds its way into the mix too. A nice toasted malt balances the hops out and allows for a smooth, lingering finish. M: Very tingly, sparkling mouthfeel, extremely dry on the finish too. D: Quite drinkable, but not exciting enough to return to over & over again. Decent though.

Founders Pale Ale 12 oz bottle Medium pour in a tulip glass Recent brewing, hopped into 02/07 Poured a golden amber with a massive rocky fluffy slightly off white mostly lasting head with good lacing. Smelt of strong bitter and sour lemons, grass, light sour horseblanket like yeastiness. Taste was upfront strong bitter and sour lemon hops with light dark bread malt followed by a strong bitter grassy and mossy hops and moderate bitter sour horseblanket yeast. Palate was light to medium body, creamy, lively carbonated and strongly astringent. Overall, a very unique take on a pale ale. The dry hopping adds a great layer of complexity to this classic style. It does feel a bit awkward though. It’s probably a great lawn mowing beer because it smells like freshly mowed grass, high quality grass though.

A pleasant aroma of hops with the aroma of sweet malt. A hazed orange pour with a slight head and gooy lacing. Just a tad of malt with a good hoppiness that is borderline for the style in a good way. The palate is just a tad thin but still pretty solid. A good beer overall . The palate drags it down just a tad but overall this is a good beer.

Bottle from Ogglethorp. Thanks Brian. Cloudy sunset orange with a large, soapy white head. Subsided quickly. Nose is full with strong floral hops. Adequate balance between hops, malt, and water. A smooth pale.

I don’t know if I have ever had a beer that poured with more foam from the bottle (without being shaken). After a routine, this was about 90% faom in the glass. Finally settled down to leave a nice foamy head with bits of yeast residue, and eventually, okay lacing. Aroma was a mixture of grassy hops and a hint of citrus. Flavor was more of the same, but not quite as pronounced. Had a tingly mouthfeel, but a less bitter than expected aftertaste. Not a bad drinking beer, and I would have rated a little higher had it not been for the pain of pouring and waiting for the foam to subside.

12 oz bottle. Clear peachy orange with a billowy bone head. Lace vines. Light, doughy; some lime. Rather full bodied for a Pale. Little oily. Medium carb that softens quickly. Limeade, tangerine and plastic spoons. Long and bready pith finish.
