A testament to Cascade hops in a bottle. This medium-bodied pale ale has a distinctive floral hop aroma and refreshing citrus flavor. You’ll notice a slight malty sweetness with a balanced hop finish. Perfect to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

Bottle opens with a disturbing Pop! FOAM baby! I got 6 fingers of foam for 1 finger of beer. When the foam settles down, pours honey yellow. Still waiting for the foam to go down. Looks like those pesky root-beer floats of my youth. Fresh n’ hoppy taste. Did I mentioned the bubbles never stops. Not as full flavored as I have know from other Founders beers. Its hoppy taste stays with you in each mouthful till the last bit of it disappears from the glass.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Hazy bright deep gold with an amber tinge, decent lasting off-white creamy/foamy head. Slightly woody aroma, sweet malt with solid but mild resiny hops, slightly yeasty - smells like fresh apricots, for some reason. Taste is very nice indeed - apricot, slightly more assertive piney yet gentle hops, initially quite sweet and juicy, the hop bitterness balanced the finish nicely - average body, not all that carbonated, a little syrupy and sneak-astringent - very nice indeed.

12 oz bottle. Excellent hop nose that translated into a great light hop taste that was not overpowering in the least. The dry hopping hit the nail on the head with it’s intent. Very smooth and refreshing. Slight sweetness of malt that cleans up without getting in the way of the hop flavor.

Good beer but I have never really been impressed. Kick of hops but mostly thin.

A light hoppy aroma is clearly evident with some caramel malt. The pour is a clear golden with a very nice white head of long duration. The hoppishness comes throught nicely and is sublte with the background of caramel.

Bottle. Houston we have a gusher. A giant foam bomb. After the initial blast I poured what was left and waited a couple of minutes for it to finally settle in the glass. What was left was a cloudy peachy/orange with a bit of sediment floating around. Carmel malts with traces of butterscotch all give way to a gentle citrus hop finish. Unfortunatly it was all quite bland.

Picked this one up on a whim. (Love Founders Red Rye). Aroma was typical of a good pale. Maybe a little sweetness to it. The bottle I poured had a fairly thick, billowy white head. Not used to that. Head shrunk but did remain until I was done. Slightly cloudy light gold in appearance. Outstanding taste! Drank it from a lager glass and savored the aroma as I tipped to drink. Awesome Ale. Strongly flavored but not bitter - no wicked aftertaste. Founders calls this the "perfect lawn mowing beer" (I will take a Leinie’s Red for grass cuttin’). This is a beer I will buy for a treat.

I purchased this beer from the brewery in Grand Rapids. Great citrus taste. Poured an average head. Good Aroma. I also purchased a six pack from a party store in Roseville Michigan (160 miles from Grand Rapids). There was dust on the bottles. The Aroma was just as good as the fresh beer but the flavor lacked some. The head was huge from the old bottle. Old bottle: 7 4 6 3 13 3.3 fresh bottle 7 4 7 4 17 3.9

(Bottle) Pours a clear copper body with a moderate white head and nice spideweb lacing. Aroma of fresh baked bread, toffee, nuts, spruce, citrus, and a hint of cocoa. Flavor of nuts and piney hops with a bitter finish.
