2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 AwYeh (102) - Canton, Ohio, USA - JAN 16, 2011
Pours a yellow-golden color with one finger of white head. Smell is earthy, grassy, floral; a bit of light citrus hops and sweet malts. Taste, unfortunately, can’t quite back this up– it’s rather weak and simple, tasting mostly like grass and black pepper with few other flavors showing through. Thin mouthfeel, very dry finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Habanero (1096) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK - JAN 7, 2011
Bottled. Pours clear golden with a huge, white head. Lively carbonaton. Nice hoppy nose with citrus. Fair lacings. Flavour with light malt and citrus notes. Light bodied. Watery texture. Ends up more dry and bitter. Crisp and an OK PA.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Goodgrief (1608) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - DEC 27, 2010
I love Founders, but this isn’t good. Murky yellow color with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma was corn and cardboard. Flavor was citrusy with moderate level of hoppiness but with an off grainy corn chip like aftertaste. Amazing how I can love most of the beers so much yet hate something as generic as a pale ale.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rune (4671) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2010
355ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Fair amount of frothy, off-white head covering a partially cloudy, golden body. The glassware was gradually filled with spotty lacework. Fruity aroma of grapefruits and earth malts. Rounded flavour of succulent hops with hints of grapefruit and orange along with a spicy touch. Dry and smooth hoppy tail. Refreshing (hotel room, Oslo 14.12.2010).

Bottled. The arom has citrus, some grass and some flowers, little caramel. Clear, copper coloured beer with a slight off-white, lasting head. The taste is quite bitter, bit sweet and has citric hops mainly with some flowery and grassy tones. Caramel malty background. Bit harsh. Nice.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Gr0ve (1763) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 13, 2010
355 ml bottle. Golden with small floaties. Very tall white fluffy head that clings to the glass. Spritzy nose with medicinal hops aroma. Yeasty flavours. Cascade hops indeed. Dry papery texture. Modest bitterness. There must be a slight infection in there as the carbonation is way off.
