A testament to Cascade hops in a bottle. This medium-bodied pale ale has a distinctive floral hop aroma and refreshing citrus flavor. You’ll notice a slight malty sweetness with a balanced hop finish. Perfect to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

DATE TASTED: April 16, 2015... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint... OCCASION: a good, long day needs an ale night... APPEARANCE: pours a copper amber body that teems with life--swirling, active bubbles and steady, upward effervescence; reasonably thick, two-finger white head stays packed as the glass settles; nice finger-like tracings on the outtro... AROMA: floral yes, as the Cascades promise; some subtle caramel and cereal offer a reasonable allure ... PALATE: lively rush at the tongue and teeth; medium-bodied and creamy, with a pleasant, long finish--what a worthwhile pale ale should embody... TASTE: mellow, almost apologetically light flavors--hops are floral and only peacefully bitter; the caramel malts keep this secure... OVERALL: quite sessionable, with the hint of dank wood at the end that keeps the experience earthy and heavier than expected; from a leftover surprise pack--judging on that alone (about $1 a beer in the 12-pack), a win...

Color is like a late summer sunset. Creamy white head but it’s a little too bitter for me.

Bottle @ home. Ambrata velata, schiuma beige fine, persistente. Aroma floreale, leggermente citrico, maltato (miele d’acacia). Gusto abboccato all’ingresso, maltato, finale leggermente amaro. Abbastanza acidula. Corposa per lo stile, non molto carbonata, piena, piuttosto rotonda. Poco calda. Abbastanza equilibrata, armonica.

Handsome brew with a deep ruddy color. Nose with some dough and hold. Caramel front but then a whack of hops dries the mouth with bitterness. Bold and interesting.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey listed as the Dry-Hopped version. Golden brown with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, floral notes. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, light pine. Medium body with a dry finish. Not a whole lot going on but it’s a nice enjoyable pale.

Bottle from Citysuper at home. Slightly translucent golden pour with fuzzy foamy head. Aroma is piney bitter almost Pilsner-y. Taste follows. Like a hoppy Pilsner more than a pale ale. Good. Smooth. Hits the right notes and is balanced by a nice bit of malt. Simple but strong hops. Nice easy drinking.

Pours orangy amber with a white head. Dry bitter hoppy in the mouth with the bitterness tones down in the after-taste. Enjoyable beer

9.1.2015. Cloudy orange. Dryish aroma has floral and citrus notes, caramel malts, candy. Taste has also floral hops and malty backbone. However, it is somehow fizzy and harsh, lacking enjoyability. Meh.
