3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Guerde (960) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - APR 13, 2010
(bottle) Poured into a pint, this beer appears hazy with a light gold/orange hue and a medium white head which recedes to a thin cap and adequate lacing. Aroma is full of cracked black pepper, baked bread (pretzel), ground mustard, and some earthiness as well. Hints of skunk appear, so I’m not sure how old this bottle is. Also a floral presence. Taste is salty initially, lightly bitter and piney, with some dry bread and lingering bitterness on the finish. Could be some orange zest and pith as well. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is restrained. A decent pale ale, but it pales (pun intended) in comparison to others that I’ve sampled within this style. Perhaps a fresher bottle would change my opinion.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Leighton (3598) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2010
Tap sample at New Beer Dist. Pretty nice Pale Ale. Pours a light amber with a medium, pure white head. Nose is somewhat hoppy, with definite floral notes. Flavor is quite earthy, holds some nice bitterness, and is balanced out a bit with some malty sweetness. Finish leaves a tad of bitter bite. Very drinkable.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Finhead (654) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - APR 9, 2010
A hazy yellow pour with rocky white head. A nice hoppy nose with mild pine aroma. The light to medium body has average carbonation and a slightly thin texture. It begins with medium bitterness, but finishes fairly clean.

Pint at Rattle n Hum. 4th Founders beer of the night. Crisp and ripe pale ale. Nice and subtle hop aroma with a firm bite. Citrus and floral.. some soft cereals to balance it out. Finished this very quickly.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Elwood (1834) - Between a rock and a hard place, Virginia, USA - MAR 29, 2010
Serving: Draft at Fireworks.
It pours a slightly hazy, light amber color with a thin, white ring around the edge of the glass for a head. The nose is full of pale malt notes, a touch of florals, and some malt sweetness. Light and mild. The taste brings a bit of honey, grass, florals, and the pale malt notes too. The mouthfeel is medium-light with medium-light carbonation and a medium-short finish. Overall it’s a great session beer with mellow, easy flavors. A great everyday brew.

The aroma, flavor and body all seems to be lacking on this beer. maybe this was just a bad batch. the aroma is floral hops. the appearance is a pale reddish gold color, white head. The flavor was hoppy, flowes and citrus, some caramel. the finish was piney hops. Thin to medium in body. Not great.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tennessejed420 (838) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 17, 2010
12 oz. bottle. Pours like a classic pale ale, amber gold body with white head, quickly reduces to some bubbles floating on the top of the beer. Smell is floral hops, pine, buttery sweet corn malt. Taste is pretty balanced, with a crisp hoppy bite giving way to malts underneath, with some hop bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied, not thick, goes down easy. Would be a good session; a good example of this style.

Pretty tastey brew all around. pours a vibrant copper colour with a small white floral head. Hop goodness around the palate, fruity and sweet/bitter battle all the way through. Finishes very clean
