3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tmoreau (1269) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 24, 2009
On tap at Brixie’s, Brookfield. IL. Shaker served a hazy golden amber with a white, foamy head that reduced to a bubbly layer but left a good curtain of lacing. The nose was a little yeast, malt, and sweet fruit. The flavor offered about the same with a low level of hop bitterness, medium to light body, a bit of dryness to the finish, and a sessionable nature. Didn’t blow my socks off. Leave the lawn mowing to the wits and wheats...and macro American lagers.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hombrepalo (1317) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2009
12 OZ bottle from Archer Liquors. Aroma was typical of a good pale. Maybe a little sweetness to it. It poured fairly thick, white head. Head shrunk but did remain until I was done. Slightly cloudy light gold in appearance. Outstanding taste! Getting some nice caramel and bread flavors. Grapefruit, pine, and fresh grass when the hops kick in. Bitterness is light and refreshing. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Nice clean finish. Awesome Ale. Strongly flavored but not bitter - no wicked aftertaste. Overall a superb pale ale.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jodah52 (205) - Michigan, USA - JUN 15, 2009
Pours cloudy and gold, thick rough white head. Slight malt flavor and sweetness, but dominated by hop bitterness. Hops are fairly prominent, though less than an IPA; good Cascade citrus aromas. A good example of a typically American ale.

12 oz bottle at The Flying Saucer. Poured a cloudy orange with a 2 finger white head and lots of lacing. Strong citrus aroma along with hops, malt, and caramel. It had a nice hoppy taste balanced by the malt - the citrus flavor was big and also picked up a tropical flower type scent/flavor on the backside. Very easy drinking especially for those afraid of the IPAs.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mikalooch (224) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 28, 2009
Bottle. Pours Trnaslucent orange with a soapy white head, little lacing. Aroma is faint hops with a syrupy undertone finished with a touch of citrus. Citrus flavor with a backbone of floral hops and a sweet malt finish. Medium palate, goes down very easy. Not bad for the style. Hop day drinking beer.
