4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Very earthy (as most Founderís beers tend to be) and floral. The hops in this fine pale ale grab you by the pallet and make you scream. The alcohol content of this brew is not too much not too little. Itís right in the middle where you wouldnít be too afraid to have a few but just enough to keep you from having too much. I recommend this beer as an "after work, i need to chill after a hard day, and very long bike commute". If you donít believe, give it a swill!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours bright clear amber orange with a sudsey off white head that fades to a film. Aroma is herbal, malty with a decent hop presence. Taste is more herbal gritty malt and a lasting subtle bitterness. Palate is thin to medium with a gritty chaulky finish. Nice Pale Ale that is slightly thin.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 18, 2012 From the bottle 5 months old. I feel a bit bad rating from a bottle this old, but I think a lot of people probably get a similar experience. It pours orange with an orangy white head. The aroma is dusty, stale hops with some tropical and citrus fruit. The flavor has hints of toffee and only mild hoppiness in the finish. I would have liked to taste a fresher bottle.
Rerate: bottled on 3/26/12, drank on 4/18/12. Nice to finally get a fresh bottle of this stuff. It pours a bright golden color with a small white head. The aroma is nicely balanced with bready malt and lightly floral citrusy hops. The flavor is the same. Very nice floral bitterness and some peach, grapefruit and bready malt. Utterly drinkable and fresh tasting. A very nice pale ale.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(bottle) Pours a yellow-orange color, hazy, with a quickly dissipating head.
On the nose citrus and a bit of tropical fruits and floral notes. Aroma is slightly grainy/malty as well, but mainly grapefruit/orange peel and still a little tropical - or is it apricots?. Pronounced bitterness, balanced by a hint of sweetness. Dry, abrupt finish.
I do not know many APAs to compare with, but I know for sure that I enjoyed this one very much.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle purchased in Dublin, Ohio. Pours a clear golden color with a quickly dissipating head. The taste is clean, with a medium bitterness that is citrusy with several subtle notes. The mouth is thinner than I usually like, but here it works. The finish is surprisingly clean and abrupt. Well worth revisiting on a hot day.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
An orange-yellow beer with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma is big here, lots of floral hops and tropical fruits. The flavor is only slightly subdued, a little spicy with lemon and floral flavors and a very mild bitterness on the finish. The body is medium, but it is a very enjoyable beer, quite refreshing on a summer day.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2013 Pours golden to orange with a fluffy head that hangs out for a while. Nose hints at some mild hops and some sweetness. Taste is a light to medium bitter with a light sweetness. Finishes crisp and refreshing. This is an all-around nice offering, though I was expected just a bit more aroma from the dry-hopping. <<update>> Very fresh bottle, the freshest Iíve seen in my area. Pale golden pour with a thick, off-white head that leaves some spotty hanging lace. Nose involves honey, citrusy lemon, toasted malt notes, piney and grassy hops. Lightly sweet with a fair bitterness and just a touch of tartness. Lighter bodied, fairly active carb with a toasty bitter finish. Aromatically pleasant, easy to drink, and just a nice brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted on 8/6/11 from a 12oz bottle purchased at Lush West Town, bottled 6/2/11 (I think, the date is a little smudged). Pours clear, bright orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to thin spotty lace and a thick collar. The nose is citrusy orange and orange peel hops along with a lightly sweet caramel malt backbone and just a light hint of earthy yeast. The flavor is full of lightly bitter orange peel hops with the same lightly sweet caramel malt backbone. The body is light with average carbonation and a long lightly bitter orange hops finish.
