2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 thehoff (569) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - NOV 1, 2003
Dont bother. Orange, floaties, white head, minimal. Very citrusy coriander smell, Hoppy both in flavor and smell. Bitter with a hint of lemon. It surely is a pale ale but not a very good one.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Drew (2413) - Kent, Ohio, USA - OCT 14, 2003
Medium gold, short off white head, very nice lacing. Floral hop aroma - very nice, but thought it should be stronger. Malts were thinner and bread/biscuit. Hops were pleasant - floral and lightly citrus, finish was medium long and piney. Reminded me of a more assertive SNPA. Easy to drink, made me happy.

had this one out of a barrel, light brown/orange color, white head, fruity/flowery aroma, crisp hoppy taste, sweet malty flavor with a dry finish. A quality pale by all means.

Medium yellow hue with small head and little lace. Aroma hints of roasted biscuit malts, piney/fruity english hops, and earthy yeast. Taste is that of mellow hops and soft sweet malts. Undertone of dry grain and mint. A solid session beer, quaffable and easy going, but not boring.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jsquire (2957) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - SEP 8, 2003
It says dry hopped on the label, but I'm not sure you can get it bottled without the dry hopping. Golden color with an egg shell colored head that left cob webs of lace on the glass. Flowery pine hop nose. Flavor definitly focuses on the hops with lots of bitter orange citrus taste. Dry finish with an almost tongue numbing bitterness that is not unpleasant.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TAR (2346) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - SEP 4, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 27, 2010 Dry-hopped version: Bleached pumpkin. Tight, sticky dull-white foam. Classic aroma of spruce, white grape, and sweet biscuity malts. Softened mint notes amid hints of glazed peach, lemon zest, and caramel. Subtle notes of sour apple and figgish hop resins. Slick and jellyish. Perfectly grainy and full on the palate. Tightly-packed carbonation. Big juicy flavors with a beautiful balance between rich jellied malts, flowers, root, and pine. Tantalizing shades of nutty yeast take the flavor development to another level and brighten up the hop flavors. Finishes slightly dry, with a substantial helping of coarse, numbing hops, along with traces of rock candy, perfumed hop leaf, and mango. American, with its fresh, lively citrus hop aromas and bitterness, but more English, with its relentless malt counterattack and English yeast tendencies. A textbook version, regardless.

Golden, with a slight haze. Bready malt underpins citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Light citric hoppiness carries the body.

Sampled at Ashley's in Ann Arbor after the MIBG Fest. Light golden-orange colour, typical floral aroma and bitter hop flavour. Maybe my taste buds were burnt out from the hours of tasting, but I found it hard to get very excited about this one. It was decent, but nothing special.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2004 Very good Pale Ale. Orange colored. Pours with a big head, which quickly settles. Balance between malt and hops. Aroma of Casacade on every sniff. Bitter sweet finish.

Amber, with a small, white head.Mostly diminishing, leaves a ring.Decent malts in the aroma but mainly cascades. Soft carbonation, good malts lead to a good mouthfeel.Good balance.Sweet, toasty, malts, with cascades before the finish and in the finish.Lingering pale malt and earthy hop flavors. Not overdone in the hop department(what I was expecting). Damn good!
