3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 12-oz bottle into a pint glass a hazy, orange color with a huge, fluffy white head. Took about five minutes to pour. Aroma of citrus hops and some faint bready malt. Taste is of citrusy and grassy hops with a nice bitter finish. Smooth, drinkable pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of pineapple fruity hops. Decent head on the pour, foam sticks to the glass, semi transparent, golden amber colors. Bitter and dry in the mouth, slight oatiness, some fruit juice, a little sweetness but not much. Slightly biting acidic quality on the palate with a fairly quickly disappearing duration. Orange or lemon rind like flavors dominate.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2009 Ok beer for warm weather months. Pours really nice light copper orange with a haze to it. Smells grassy, mildly nutty and both are understated. Taste is somewhat cheap, almost like a macro style lager but with more going on. Grassy herbal lager taste that is refreshing but in no way complex (not a bad thing). Mouthfeel is light bodied. Would be a higher rating if not for the slightly bitter faint hop bad aftertaste. ok beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy copper pour with a medium sized white head. Aroma citrus hops and caramel. Flavor is up front hops but fades into the nutty caramel charecter I picked up in the nose. Finishes bitter, good.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours cloudy and orange-amber in color. A large foamy beige head settles to a thin film, wispy, sticky patches of lace adhering to the glass. Aromas include sweet orange marmalade, lemon and hints of lime rind, and perfumy flowers, all atop a lightly toasty toffee malt base. The flavor is less bitter than I expected, sweet fruity notes blending with just a mild dose of grassy and floral hops. The toffee is a bit too buttery, as well. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated, and a touch astringent on the finish. This one smells nice, but the flavor is a big disappointment. I’ve come to expect better from Founders.

12oz bottle. Poured orange with little / no head. Classic pale ale aroma. Noticeable hops but definitely not over the top. Short finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange amber body with a thick off white head. Aroma is pine and citrus with an underlying malty sweetness. The mouthfeel is smoother and creamier than I would have expected. There is some hoppy dryness up front, however. The flavor is extremely well balanced. Grapefruit and pine leads to some caramel sweetness. Fairly dry finish with little aftertaste. A nice pale ale.
