3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl. bottle, bought in Fish & Beer, Copenhagen, 31.10.12.
Quite easy drinkable pale ale. Nice flower and hops in the nose, less flower in the taste leaving a vague bitterness. Almost no foam. Nothing special, a bit disappointing to the price. Would work best for me on a hot summersday where I was more thirsty than up for beer tasting.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is not particularly strong. Some lemon/citrus scent, grassy hops and malt sweetness but everything is muted. Light golden color with a huge white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Taste is hop bitterness, some of the citrus from the aroma and an earthy quality. Taste and palate are a little watery. Overall ok, nothing special. If I were recommending a founders beer to someone this would not be it. They make so many great beers; since they have set the bar so high I was expecting more.

Nice APA that has a good balance of hops and malts. This is what a true session IPA/PA should be, no need fo anything else.

So I had this NITRO! Which is to say guiness’d... I was half expecting Jim Gillette to leap out of the foam and go waaaaAAAAAaaaaaaaoooooooo and Michael Angelo Batio to cut my face off with a tasty lick from his 4 necked guitar, but what I got was Founders Ok pale ale and a bunch of nitrogen foam. If only this beer was half as tasty as MAB’s licks.... In all honesty, it reminds me of summer and makes me want to go to a beach but I hate beaches. So... Whatever black magic this beer has going on, it is powerful stuff.... It’s pretty good...

Pours a cloudy coppery yellow. Floral, citrus notes. Crisp mouthfeel. Nice balance of hoppy bitterness and malty sweetness. One of the best pale ales I’ve had in a long time.
