COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A testament to Cascade hops in a bottle. This medium-bodied pale ale has a distinctive floral hop aroma and refreshing citrus flavor. You’ll notice a slight malty sweetness with a balanced hop finish. Perfect to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

On tap at Vintage Estates, courtesy of Nuts. Raw grain aroma and a bit of musty character, with light hoppiness. Mild grassy notes, otherwise a mild aroma. Golden hazy amber with thin white head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts with mild acidity, mild grainy character. Clean overall, with a mild hoppy-bitter finish. Decent pale ale.

18/V/2012 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle from The Bottle Shop (Canterbury) @ home - bottled: VI/10/10 (2012-517) Thanks to Klaas for sharing the bottle!

Gusher! Little cloudy, deep yellow beer, some sediment floating around under a creamy off-white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, mango, passion fruits, sweet malts. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: little bit of sweet malts, fruity, passion fruits, mango, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: bitter dry, still fruity. Probably only a shadow of what it used to be when fresh. Too bad. (bottle was purchased in the beginning of April 2012)

This one sports a fine tan-orange color and a nice head. Aroma is a bit grainy and smacks more of English-style than the Cascades that are advertised. Noticeable cardboard and what may be oxidation along with a cool breath of peach fuzz. The body is of a watery hoppyness with a peachyness to it. Easy grain body, and hopping that again strikes me more reminiscent of England than anything harvested in the Pacific Northwest. Watered down bitter finish.

[Bottle] pours clear gold with a small whitish head. Aroma is pretty light but with some skunky hops, some citrus - orange and grapefruit, and a touch of malt backbone. Flavor is hop forward but light, low but adequate maltiness, and a nice, lightly bitter finish. Nice and drinkable, but surprisingly light, especially for a Founders beer.

Aroma is pine, grapefruit and crisp caramel malt, a bit mild. Taste is citrus, pine and herbal hops. A lot of crisp clean malts. Some bright fruit, maybe mango? Smooth and very drinkable but a bit muddled and weak. Thin palate, a bit watery. I guess at least it’s not overly hoppy like some pale ales making them more of an ipa. Awesome bottle, founders always has the coolest labels. Founders never disappoints, not nearly one of their best, but pretty alright.

This was surprisingly hoppy to me. In a very good way, though. Very hoppy in the aroma and up front on the palate, but finishes very light.

Maybe a little warmer than I wanted to drink it but oh well. When poured it was kind of fizzy like champaign. Very clear gold body. Aroma is hoppy and floral. This is a bit dry.
