3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a straw color with a fairly thin head. A lot of floral hop notes on the aroma, and also a good bit of malt. Flavors are fairly similar; a lot of floral and citrus notes, although the beer isn’t aggressively hoppy. Some sweet and bready malts. A little bit skunky on the finish. A so-so offering; Founders seems to do sweet beers much better than hoppy beers.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours orangish with a white head. Taste citrus, pine, slightly sweet. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

Bottle. Hazed orange pour with a white head. Aromas of pepper, citrus, grapefruit, papaya, resin, dank. Flavors are of grainy, slightly toasted malt, citrus, grapefruit and papaya. Doesn’t taste very fresh, but freshness date is smeared. Lower bodied with fuller carbonation. Citrusy and thin overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nose is delicate, floral, herbs, summer fruits from the yeast. Taste is bitter leading to pine and then a sweeter soft summer fruits and citrus finish. The mouthfeel is a little thin.
This is a very nice pale ale that stands out from the crowd of supercharged American IPAs that are simply too common at the moment. A very nice change.

Bottle supplied by my wife. Consumed straight from the bottle. Smells of citrus hops, a little resin and that’s about it. Taste is nice and light, slight malt, grapefruit. Easy drinking.
