[Thanks to MatSciGuy]. 12fl. oz. bottle. Black colour wirth a moderate formation of a tan and creamy head, nice lacing and medium lasting. Aroma is toasty, strong dark coffee and slightly licorice. Flavour is toasty, roasty, ash could be present, wood and with a mild spicy flavour. The final is toasty with a decent duration in the aftertaste. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high. Texture is oily.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
It poured a dark color with a tan head. The aroma was of roasted coffee and some cocoa. The taste was coffee and sweet malts at the start, with a bit of cocoa and cofee in the finish. A very good Porter.

Bottle. Pours very dark with a nice brown head. The smell is mostly that of malts. Taste is smooth with some chocolate and a lot of malt. Damn fine porter.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle/12oz - Pours a very dark black/brown in color with a small tan head that faded quickly to a thin covering over the beer. Aroma is malty with dark roasted malts prevalent. Some chocolate and dark fruits. Flavor matches with some nice dark chocolate bitterness filling in the gaps. Awesome...

355 ml bottle.
Rated on 20110325.
Pours black color with small head. Aroma clearly has some "danish vegetables", roasted malts, mild chocolate notes and ripe fruits. Flavor of ash dry chocolate, roasted malts and wood. Smooth palate, but something is a bit off. Not the best porter I’ve tasted.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Deep, deep brown...dark, oily-tan head.
Aroma is a subtle mix of coffee, chocolate, hop, smoke.
Taste is nicely smoky, all of the flavours balance smoothly, the chocolate, coffee, hops, roasts share the stage equally..... only the burnt wood/smoke stand out......and it works....perfectly.
An outstanding porter.
A cellar must-have. Bravo.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Maekchu. Black with an oily-ass head. Rich nose of coffee, chocolate, nuts, hops. Sweet and rich flavor, creamy coffee chocolate. Great body. Rich and tasty. Seems like a stout to me.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Probably my favorite porter. A delightful, drinkable brew. Aroma is excellent: Head is medium brown. Coffee, chocolate, caramel, smoky, roasted malt. Balanced. A superior brew, not surprising for Founders. If you like Porters, this one is a must.

Wow, this beer is sexy! Pours black with no head. Awesome roasted malt aroma. Has a nice smoked chocolate taste and is very smooth. Clean dry finish. Good stuff!
