COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

Pours nice and dark, reasonable tan head. Smells malty, darkly fruity, and chocolate-y - good. Tastes also quite good; just enough hops to balance out the smell, so reasonable bite, but thick enough palate.

Bottle @ home. Deep dark brown color, opague. Roast, chocolate and licorice in both aroma and flavor. Velvety mouthfeel. Medium bodied. malty. Grassy and citric hops. Very well balanced. This is an excellent porter, highly drinkable yet very tasty.

Probably one of the best if not the best porter you can buy. Great roasted aromas and the flavor is spectacular. Silky smooth and nice coffee flavors from the roasted malts. Just the right body that supports the flavor profile. Nice subtly bitter finish

12 oz bottle from Whole Foods Nora. Pours a thickish black with a thin khaki head. Aroma is fantastic-semi sweet chocolate, light roast, dark cherry, bit of soury twang. Taste gets roast up front, followed by a great twangy malt sweetness. Perfect mouthfeel. Not super thick, but a good amount to chew on-more than most porters. Spot on bitterness with no standout hop flavor/aroma Extremely well balanced, restrained, but full flavored brew. Awesome beer.

Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Pour is utterly, completely black with a big, initially fizzy, settling, frothy, beige head. Mildly sweet aroma, some roasted malts, light chocolate, a hint of fruity hops. Low carbonation, lovely creamy and dry mouthfeel - impressive for the ABV. Flavour is elegant, lots of roasted malts, good malty dry- and bitterness balanced well by good sweet chocolate and well-used fruity hops. Light vinious even for its low ABV - perhaps that’s because there is so much malty taste to it? Very good.

One of my favorite porters, hands down. Wonderfully balanced between chocolate and coffee, with a great head as well that provides that beautiful foam you’ve come to love.

Bottle @ Kungfu Necktie. Pours a pitch black. Delicious roast and chocolate in the aroma and flavor. The mouthfeel is smooth and well made.
