Near black, with a dark tan, one-finger head. Not much lacing. Smells of sweet, mellow chocolate, mellowed still by some caramel. But mostly chocolate. Beautiful. Taste is very chocolatey as well but it’s a milk chocolate. Very mellow. Full bodied. Dried by some caramel. Bit of coffee roast to bitter it up. Nicely blended. The taste just keeps developing after each sip. It encourages you to take time between sips to soak up all the layers. Well done.

Bottled@The 2nd ES/CS Beer Tasting. (thanks J.S.!). Quite much black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is ashes, liquorice, some mild roasted malts as well as mild notes of tobacco. Flavour is ashes, roasted mats, some chocolate and coffee along with mild liquorice and quite bitter finish.

Pours black with a chocolate brown thin head, which completely dissipates. Nose is lovely syrupy dark chocolate. Some mineral notes in there as well. Taste is silky chocolate, black coffee, some mineral notes to balance the sweetness, which is on the bitter side of sweet. Also some subtle flavours like tobacco. Brilliant stuff. Could drink this anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

Pour is black as you would expect with nearly no light tan head. Nose is of very milky chocolate and light coffee notes. Taste is the same, very very smooth. Great mouthfeel for the style.

Bottle from Bierkompass. Poured black color with a creamy brown head. Awesome chocolate malt and milk coffee aroma. Flavor is pretty much the same, sweet chocolate and roasted malt, just the right amount. Weak hoppy notes. Some tar/smoke in the dry finish. Flawless porter.

Aroma is chocolate and dark roasted malt. Pours almost black with a rich tan head. Taste is chocolate malty up front followed by bitter roast notes with a mild lingering sweetness/smokiness

Pours dark brown with notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Coffee shows with deep and roasted grains. You also get a nice fluid creaminess with a light milk chocolate ending. WOW!

Dark brown nearly black color with tan head. Creamy scent with hints of mocha coffee. Porter with chocolate and coffee taste. Almost a Smokey finish. Nice dark Porter.
