COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

Great aroma to start, followed up a wonderful mouthfeel and taste! Big chocolate and mocha overtones.

Bottle from Craftissimo. Smells strongly of chocolate and coffee, roasted malt with hop to balance. Slight bit of dried fruit though not at all overly raisin-y/sour. Tastes of very bitter hop, chocolate. The roastiness and bitterness balance each other well - nice to have this much hop in a porter. Body is on the thin side with good bit of carbonation. Really nice big bitter porter.

Bottle from Craftissimo at TST waterfront. Chocolatey roasted aroma. Hoppy bitterness. Velvety chocolate. Surprisingly clean finish. Body isn't too thick but doesn't lack either. Great porter.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2014 Pours black with a small brown fizz. Smells of roast, chocolate, hints of coffee. Taste is chocolate, bitter, roasty, subtle hints of caramel. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Founders Porter finishes just as they say, "dark, rich, and sexy."

Big thick boozy chocculut aroma with hint of grains. Smells like a delicious bittersweet meal, wholesome. Head is fine and thick, lovely tan caramel colour and the liquid is opaque dark brown to black. Wowzer, one of the thickest beers I’ve ever tasted, really creamy texture with some burnt flavours, coffee slightly and burnt chocolate with a cereal hint. Solid of it’s style, nothing outlandish but it says what it does with perfection. Feels like cool liquid chocolate in the back of my throat. I would prefer it if it were slightly less ’grainy’ and sort of crisper and rich in flavour whilst still having this wonderful thick texture but that’s just a personal preference. Amazing beer

Pours very dark with minimal tan head, coffee, liquorice and dark chocolate on the nose with noticable smoky and roasted malt. Taste is absoltely lovely, mildly sweet yet bitter with lots going on. Fantastic porter and one i will definitely buy more of!

Bottle, 355 ml. Pours jet black with a small amount of creamy tan Head. Lots of lacing. Aroma dominated by roasted bready malts and dark chocolate. Slight hay note to it too. Taste of very bitter, burned malts and again a dark chocolate presence. Slight floral aftertaste.. Carbonation is a bit too high yet the body is thick and velvety enough.

Pourer from bottle into tulip: pours black with a thin tan head and little to no lacing. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, coffee, and a bit of sweetness. Taste is more of the same but predominantly chocolate and caramel. A little hop note on the back end balances this beer out nicely. Silky smooth mouthfeel, perfect carbonation, heavy body. Awesome porter.
