COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

Bottle Smooth velvety black pour with a small finger of chocolate coloured head, looks like a thick imperial stout. Aroma is, lots of roast, chocolate, coffee, some nuttiness, and a bit of anise. Taste is, smooth roast up front, followed by some chocolate, coffee, velvety mouth feel, with a mild bitter finish, and a coffee roast aftertaste

Duft av bek, kaffe og lakris. Dyp mørk farge, nesten svart. Lite skum, ring langs kant. God smak av kaffe, noe sjokolade og vanilje.

Draft and bottle. For a porter strong from a style point of view. Pours and looks great in the glass. Smells of chocolate, malt and biscuit. Not bitter at all and has a sweetness. I love this summer or winter.

Poured from bottle into can-shaoed Pabst glass because I like being silly. Pours dark brown with thin tan/ brown head. Scent is not that strong to me, maybe I’m doing something wrong. Taste is heavy on the chocolate in the front then residually bitter and still roasty in the back. Excellent, delicious beer for a "regular" bottle.

Bottle. Pours black with rich tan head. Aroma is very rich and chocolatey, vanilla, desserty. Taste is very rich, chocolate, bitter, long bitter, roasty finish. This is amazing. Maybe the best plain porter that I have had.

What a crazy greay brew I had on tap at Salt House in Galway. The pour is a slick and viscous black gloop that has nearly no head but a thin layer of tan bubbles. The nose is well roasted and heavily fortified with espresso and vanilla notes amidst huge roasted dark chocolate malt. A bit sweet in the middle with a big backdrop of robust roasty bitterness and mild hop astringency. Overall a great brew for dark beer fans.

Because this beer deserves at least a 4.00 and not a 3.99. Smooth, silky, and definitely sexy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Nearly black pour with a smallish mocha head. Mainly chocolate aroma with a bit of caramel and light savoury notes, like red meat or soy sauce. Flavour is chocolate with a bit of coffee, caramel and smoke, and lots more subtle notes. Gets sweeter as it warms. Complex and enticing, pretty full-bodied for a porter, and very nicely balanced with bitterness. A delicious porter.
