Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

Bottle to glass. Nose is heavy chocolate, caramel, molasses and sweet candy. Beautiful jet black with full brown head that lingers. Taste is layers of chocolate and complex malts, with slight caramel. Sweetness persists, and no roast. Moderate bittering. Mouthfeel is fantastic and coasts the tongue.

Draught @ Capital Alehouse Downtown, Richmond, VA. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of roast, with notes of malt and coffee and touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee and touches of malt, yeast and hops. Bitter, roasty and hopy finish with estery hints. Very good.

Perfettamente descritta in etichetta come "dark, rich and sexy".

All aboard the taste train for this masterpiece! The jet black pour gives an indication of where this party is headed; straight to flavor town. Chocolate and roasted malts come through perfectly in this well-balanced nirvana in a glass. Easily the best year-round offering from anybody, and the best beer for the buck you will ever find. When the weather cools down, this beer is a must!
