2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pros: Above average malt structure with some complexity. Nice looking beer especially for being a dead beer.
Cons: Nose isn’t offensive, but is really dull and void of character. Seems really dead. Lacks purity and richness. Thin mouth feel. Finish is short. Not alive.
I was expecting a better ale.

Pours jet black with a stingy tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate. Taste is chocolate, woody, slightly bitter. Well balanced. Quality stuff.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mmm, deliciously complex porter! Pours black w/ a big mocha head that leaves lacing. The aroma is full of chocolate & roastiness. The taste is quite similar as it hits w/ tasty chocolate sweet notes only to finish w/ a big bitter & coffee like finish. Another great beer from the best!

Oil black pour. Nice lacing. Aroma dark roast chocolate coffee. Taste easy drinking velvet smooth. Bitter dark chocolate in the finish. Some smoke this would be anyone else’s stout. Interesting brew.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thin tan head on top of brown turning black body. Aroma a smidge alcoholic and a bit like wood lacquer. Super smooth palate with chocolate, malt, and coffee notes. Nice finish with sweetness ending at satisfaction.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The beer pours a dark black with a thick tan head that left good lacing around the glass. The aroma is very sweet chocolate, roasted malts, toffee, and caramel. The taste is somewhat bitter dark chocolate, roasted nuttiness, toffee, caramel, some woodiness, and some hops in there as well to round out the beer. The mouthfeel is rather thick and silky. The drinkability is super high with this beer even at 6.5%. This truly is a world class porter that I highly recommend.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nera, sentori di affu, icatura, tostature, orzo, e un po’ di caffè. In bocca è lo stesso, legata magisttalmente con un finale amaro bello lungo e caldo, un po’ terroso. Birra sublime, non c’è che dire.

In bottiglia. Porter sicuramente ben fatta, nessun particolare difetto e aromi di caffè soprattutto e cioccolato amaro ben evidenti e piacevoli. Detto ciò ci vorrebbbe qualcosa in più, classica senza emozionare
