4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a heavy black, with a half-inch thick mocha head on top. Nose is full with notes of vanilla, chocolate bark, roasted coffee beans, and a touch of alcohol. Absolutely full body coats the palate well. Really a smooth beer, that is rich and decadent in feel.
Huge amounts of roasted malt. Coffee, oak, vanilla beans, chocolate bread. Fantastic flavor balance. This is a truly fantastic beer and one of the standards for the style. I want some more.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pour. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Plenty of chocolate, coffee and roasted notes. The cocoa wafts in on the nose and dominates. Smooth and drinkable with enough of a hop factor to even out the sweeter, dessert inflected elements. A classic, whether enjoyed on tap or from the bottle this is a top class porter.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from GBBF 2014 and drunk at home. I know Iíve had this before, Iíve just never rated it. Bizarre, seen it on shelves for years in the UK but only just now got around to rating it. Black beer lasting tan head. Big chocolate on the aroma. But smooth chocolate. Wow. Itís just like drinking pure chocolate. Sheet, that is really nice. Cozy like velvet? Check. A little bit of milkiness perhaps. But itís just so damn good. so drinkable. Lovely. Poised delicate all enveloping, lots of chocolate but never papery or thin. Just the right balance of everything. Just a bit of milk perhaps. Lovely though.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Coudy very dark brown color, average sized brownish head. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Very strong chocolate aroma, some coffee and nuts. Medium sweet taste, with some mild bitterness. Texture is creamy and oily. One of the best porters out there, no doubt.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Dark as hell, big tan head. The greatest tasting foam ever. I usually donít even try to taste only foam without a liquid, but this one looked delicious. The taste was delicious as well. Like some mousse chocolate pudding or something like that. The beer itself has a huge chocolate and coffee aroma, with some caramel, cocoa, nuts and traces of vanilla. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Finish is pleasant bittersweet coffee and chocolate. The bestest!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The hops in this porter are a great compliment otherwise I wouldn't score it as high. Chocolate on the nose and a rich, dark chocolate, velvety taste. Overall a pretty damn good porter. One of my go to's.
