COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders’ robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It’s a lover, not a fighter.

This is my favorite Porter. It surpasses the others by providing an excellent overall experience. Pours smooth with a minimal toffee colored head. Malty and roasty with coffee, fruit and cocoa, balanced by some hop floral dryness toward the end. Dare I say a "sessionable" porter. Perfect for the colder months in the snow belt. Founders nailed this one.

Looks and pours like any other porter. Smooth like Fuller’s London porter, but more flavorful. No harsh leafy tastes like cheaper porters. By far the best porter I’ve ever had, save for Funky Budda’s Maple Coffee Bacon porter.

Nearly black in color; modest tan head. Lots of roasted aromas, coffee and a touch of chocolate. A general bitterness from the hops. Mild to moderate sweetness; medium to slightly heavy bitterness. Full bodied; slightly thick, oily texture; average carbonation; finish is is long, sweet, bitter chocolate and roasted coffee. Overall a very good porter; rich and flavorful with reasonable complexity.

Pours a dark, dark brown with a 1/2 inch dark, tan head. Has the smell of dark chocoloate/good coffee. Has a medium body with a wonderful burst of flavors - chocolate, coffee, light hints of hops, and a sweet finish with just a little bit of pleasant bitterness. Tremendous.

Bottle. Hazy dark black pour with tan head. Nose is roasty dark malt, cacao, caramel, hops. Full bodied flavor with a hefty mouthfeel, ample dark malt, and well integrated finishing hops. A masterpiece.

This lovely lady pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Malty. Smells of coffee, dark chocolate, bit of smoke, prunes and caramel. Medium to full bodied. Smooth and perfectly balanced with rich malty flavours. Nice medium-long coffee-like aftertaste.

Dark brown colour with beige head leaving lots of lacing to the sides of the glass. Aroma has dark chocolate, milk coffee and roasted malts. Taste is sweet, dark chocolate dominates and some roasted and coffee flavours come in the end. Oily texture and lowish carbonation.

Great porter on tap. Nice mouthful dark with a shallow white head. Best porter I have had in a while. Better than some stouts I have had.

35 cl bottle. Pours a very dark ruby with a light espresso head. Smells like smoke, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Bitter-sweet taste, lots of dark chocolate, roasted grains, a bit of lactose. Very well balanced, not too sweet, not too bitter, not too sharp. Smooth mouthfeel and a nice aftertaste.
