4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20This is my favorite Porter. It surpasses the others by providing an excellent overall experience. Pours smooth with a minimal toffee colored head. Malty and roasty with coffee, fruit and cocoa, balanced by some hop floral dryness toward the end. Dare I say a "sessionable" porter. Perfect for the colder months in the snow belt. Founders nailed this one.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown-black with a thin brown head. Aroma is chocolate, malt, nuts, and some fruit. Taste is chocolate, nut and hops. Bitter chocolate and coffee finish. A great porter.

The best widely available porter period. Dosent seem special at first, but the flavor kicks in when goes down the throat. Rich milk chocolate espresso, with a pleasant toffee nutmeg bite. One of the best examples of a porter that there is. Nice and smokey with a creamy mouthfeel. This is worth trying and isn’t incredibly rare like a few of their other beers.

35 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with some sediment and a tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, liquorice, coffee, vanilla, and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malt, liquorice, and bitter coffee.

On tap at CBC. Black colour with beige lacing. Roasted and hoppy aroma. Same for taste, with some malts and sweetness.

Smells very roasty and malty, slight hop flavor. Taste is very malty, sweetness is balanced out by the roasted malts though. Kind of thin feeling, could maybe be a little thicker.
