Commercial Description:
Dark, Rich, and Sexy. Chocolate malts and four varieties of hops make this a very full flavored ale.

Pours a thick black with a medium brown head. Medium body with low carbonation levels. Roasty chocolate aroma with hints of smoke and vanilla. Flavor is very roasty with prominant chocolate flavors and hints of malts, coffee, caramel, and nuts. Good bite on the finish. Probably my favorite stout.

Pours a viscous black, not much foam. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, maybe a hint of licorice. Creamy mouthfeel. Taste is a nice roasty coffee flavor, lots of dark chocolate. Fantastic.

Pours a thick, almost oily black with little to no head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, roasted nuts. Complex blend of flavors with a smooth finish. An excellent beer all around.,

Black with a large beige head. Sweet aroma with burned malt, coffee and chocolate notes. Flavour was sweet with chocolate and burned malt. Finished sweet. Nice one.

Another excellent beer from Founders. Great Porter with strong hops, rich, and smooth. Not too heavy, but what you expect from a proper porter.

Pour is quite black with a frothy tan head that recedes slowly. Aroma is loaded with roasted barley, chocolate, coffee, and cream. Quite a surprising roast component considering the style- the nose skirts the line with a sweet stout. Flavor is a malt heavy torrent of roasted barley, lactic sugar, bakers chocolate, dark roasted coffee, and molasses. Mouthfeel is thick, rich, creamy, and with pillowy effervescence and a roast-dry chalky finish. The complexity is such that the flavors that are present in the most excellent proportions, Well done.

Pour is black and oily with a small tan head. ARoma is nicely roasted coffee with some chalky creaminess. Some light hints of anise, chocolate and some doughiness. Mouthfeel is silky and creamy, Flavor is immediately roasty with coffee bean, bakers chocolate, bitter notes as well. Wonderfully flavorful and top notch mouthfeel.

Pours pitch black with a small tan head- really dark, like a stout. Aroma holds lots of roasted malt, coffee, anise, dark chocolate, and some definite creamy and lactic notes. Flavor is very nice; more roasted malt, lactic sugars, bitter chocolate- really just an excellently crafted porter in flavor. Palate is rich and full, but also glides down really nicely. Excellent example of the style, another great brew from Founders.
