Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Bottled - winter seasonal. On tap - year-round.

Note: Formerly Red’s Rye P.A.

Tap. Worthy Burger, South Royalton, VT. Hazy copper colour. Off white, clingy head. No surprises here. Juicy, spicy, soft resin hoppage. Zesty, with soft chew. Easy drinking, albeit a bit thin, maybe. Soft spice bitterness on the close. Ok.

Draft pours crystal clear ruby red color with a creamy off white head that lingers leaving huge amounts of lace on glass. Smells of grapefruit, pine and spice. Tastes of citrus, sweet caramel and spice. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, perfect carbonation and a slightly tart mellow bitter finish. This is a very tasty beer. The hop aroma is nice and malt backbone is phenomenal!

On tap at Hopcat Aroma: Loads of different hop smells. Citrus. Pine. Appearance: Nice clear red with fluffy white that sticks around. Picture worthy. Taste: It's an IPA. Spicy floral and citrusy notes. It's the rye that makes this unique. Some caramel. Palate: Medium thin body. Medium carb. Overall: Unique IPA by the brewery who does them best. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2015 Bottle in pint glass from The Drinkery, Londonderry NH. Aroma is yeasty dough, caramel, bread, with sweet floral notes. Appearance is hazy dark red-brown with nice sparkle and finger-width off-white head with fair retention and nice lacing. Taste is medium sweet with some fruit and light sour. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average to lively carbonation and dry, slightly spicy bitter finish. Overall, this beer was more yeasty and less hoppy than one would expect. It was also quite old so I don’t think this is the most representative rating. I’ll have to re-rate in the future.
