Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Cloudy dark red color with medium head and nice lacing. Aroma and flavor have nice floral hops and some caramel matls. Spicy and delicious, not overwhelming, and easy to drink. Very good

On tap at Brixie’s, Brookfield IL. Expecting a red ale, I was pleasantly surprised at the prominent hop smell and flavor. I’m not sure if I could have picked out the rye flavor in a blind taste test. But very well balanced with a nice malt undertone. Would like to try again with a clean palate to better detect the more subtle flavors.

Bottle. Large beige creamy like head that mostly lasted. Cloudy amber color. Good display of lacework. Grapefruit, pine, elderflower, caramel, grain and fruit. Medium bodied with a very dry texture and an average carbonation. Moderated bitter flavor with counter sweet notes. Dry and bitter lingering finish.

bottle from hopdog...thanks!...pours a hazy cherry wood color with a fluffy khaki head and lots of floaters. aroma of ripe fruit, caramel, malt, citrus and piney hops...perhaps the rye? flavor is robust caramel/brown sugar, wood and citrus hop. not overly sweet. nice crisp dry finish with the rye flavor lingering in the aftertaste for a while. rich medium mouth feel with pleasant carbonation and acidity.

Color is gorgeous amber red. Aroma is a hop lovers dream. Big citrus hops. I think amarillo. Flavor is nice, balanced, sweet, hoppy, with a rye kick. The rye is great while drinking but the aftertaste is the only drawback for me. I had a glass from the tap and loved it so much I bought a six pack.
