Commercial Description:
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Pours a muddy copper with a fluffy head. Big rye and citrus aroma. Nice dryness and bitterness at the beginning that yields to a sweet body that is nicely balanced. Lingering bitterness at the end but not overpowering. Great beer!

Nice reddish pour with a nice tan head. Strong aroma of grapefruit and hops. Very tasty but finish has too much bite and is a bit too bitter for my liking. Overall a great offering. I would love to try this one again

12 oz bottle served in a tulip glass. Poured a rusty, dull copper with a thick, fluffy white head that left a very nice lacing. Nose is hops, perfume, malts, and floral tones. Taste is hop bitter, caramel, and perfume with a lingering floral bitter. This is an unusual brew, yet very tasty, but it’s not something that I would drink frequently.

Pours out a nice reddish light copper color with a moderate fluffy off white, lasting head. Nice aroma of citrus and pine hops, rye bread and some other earthy notes. Taste is complex and very well balanced, hops with some sweet notes, rye malts and a slightly dry, bitter finish. I like it.

Reddish and amber in the glass with a disappearing head. Aromas of caramel, malt, rye whiskey, oak and a generous piney hop smell. Tons of hops pile on to the palate. Extremely bitter and dry, vegetal and pine hops. A sticky palate and finish. Muddled end where all the malts create a cloying caramel. Bitter to a fault.

Yet another rye beer that has been outstanding. Poured brilliant red with white lacing head, smelled of thick hops upfront with a slight rye background. Nice and thick on the palate, with copious hops at the beginning followed by that crisp rye finish that balances extremely well. Reminds of Surly Furious in a way, excellent beer!
