COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.

Pours an amber colour with no head. Smells of rye and not much else, tastes of grapefruit and rye. A reasonable rye ipa, but no real depth or surprises. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle pour. Deep orangey copper in color, very hoppy aroma. Nice reddish beige head. Definitely more of an IPA than a rye, this is an excellent brew.

On tap at Founders. A great red colour with a lasting off-white head. Strong rye kick with bitter hoppy followup. A great beer.

From bottle to tulip. Pours a dark hazy orange with a creamy off-white head. Smells of citrus hops, grapefruit, and bread. Tastes of citrus and floral hops, caramel malt. MF is average with medium carbonation. Overall this was a great rye pale ale, I would happily drink several of these.

Sex in a bottle. Pours a lovely deep amber color with a finger or two of foam. Smells of caramel melt. Taste of bread followed by the spiciness of the rye and the bitterness of the hops that tilt towards a more floral character. This beer does not disappoint.

Poured from bottle into an Enlish Pint glass. Foamy one inch head, dark amber color, mild lacing. Phenominal aroma: floral grass, pine, citrus. Excellent mouth-feel. Flavor is rich and complex and mirrors the aroma. Alot going on here. Outstanding ale!! Bravo Grand Rapids!

pours a deep ruby color. decent amount of head. aroma is hop forward. lots of citrus (grapefruit) and piney notes. the caramel malts come through in the flavor and plenty of bitterness to keep it in check. not getting as much of the rye spiciness but still a good beer.

Amarillo. En Espanol, "yellow." In hops, "grapefruit." In this beer, "sublime." Glowing red in a glass and snappy citrus in your nose, Red’s Rye P.A. is a superb example of classic flavors in new presentation. Hop assertiveness meets rye grain meets ruby red color meets high IBU meets... my mouth.

Wonderful aroma - grapefruit and hoppy. Flavor is a caramel malt, rye, and followed up solid amount of bitterness.
