4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Appearance: body pours a nice reddish brown; head is thin, off-white, disappears quickly.
Nose: hops, a little grassy;
Mouthfeel: creamy, orange-juice-like.
Taste: Spicy/carbonated bite to it; quite hoppy with a ďwaxyĒ profile; faintly tart/sweet; citrus notes with a faint orange pith. That ďbiteĒ continues throughout and finishes leaving the tongue numb with waxy hops.
Overall: Has the characteristics of an Americna pale ale with a strong hop presence. I respect it but I donít particularly enjoy it. If youíre in the mood for an American pale ale, then this is a good, complex choice.

Draft at Founderís Beer dinner. Pours orange gold with minimal head. Aroma is floral, alcohol, grassy. Taste is spicy - rye with the sweet caramel malt is a nice combination. Some noticeable hop influence with the resin tones. Easy drinker.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear amber with minimal head; little carbonation. Aromas are earthy, bread, grass, hay, subtle spice. Medium bodied beer but less bitter than some IPAs. Sweet malts compliment the hops to make a rather interesting beer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ruddy copper colored beer with a slightly off-white head. Aromas of tree sap/resin and pine. Tastes of lots of pine needles, herbal resins, and some earthy flavors. Biscuit malt is present but gets overpowered by the pine flavors without much resistance. Bitter hop finish. Total hop bomb, like drinking a forest. In a good way.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap. Local in Minneapolis. Smell of bread hops. Full bodied and strong hopppiness. Long lasting finish but too one dimensional. Pretty good.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours copper/crimson with an off-white head. The aroma has spice, bread, and big floral notes. The taste follows the aroma with nice bitterness and adds sweet caramel. The rye spice pops perfectly on the back end. There's also light citrus peaking through at times. Medium carb, rich mouthfeel. Extra points for being my first rye pa a couple years ago.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
I have a 1/4 keg on draft at home. It is delicious, I also had All Day Session IPA on draft this past summer. Both very good, I kind of like Redís Rye a bit more than the All Day. But I also think anything from Founders is very good....KD
